Call Of The Haunted / Jinzo / Mystical Space Typhoon

Okay, I understand that if Jinzo is special summoned to the field via Call Of The Haunted, and later CoTH is removed or destroyed while Jinzo is face-up on the field negating it, that Jinzo will not be sent to the graveyard.

If my opponent were to activate Call Of The Haunted to special summon his Jinzo, can I then chain Mystical Space Typhoon [or Dust Tornado] to the CoTH in order to stop it from working, even if its Jinzo?

If you chain "Mystical Space Typhoon" to the activation of "Call of the Haunted", just remember your chaining steps.

Call of the Haunted -> Mystical Space Typhoon

MST resolves 1st, destroying CotH. Since CotH is no longer on the field to resolve, no monster is brought back from the graveyard (the monster in question never hit the field).

All effects of a card that is continuous (such as Equip Spells, Continuous Traps etc) are not applied if the card is not face-up on the field when it resolves, so msting the CoTH will prevent Jinzo from hitting the field in the first place

Yes well any smart person would know to let CoTH resolve first on Jinzo before MSTing it. So whilst what ya said is true, its only something an eager person or someone who hasn't quite clicked on the mechanics of resolution and speed of cards

This only applies if you want to keep Jinzo on the field. So if I'm playing the CotH and wanting to waste my MST on it then I would of course wait until CotH resolved (however it would be a waste because if my opponent destroys it, Jinzo is still safe).

If however my opponent is the one bring out Jinzo and I don't want him to have it, then I would chain MST to CotH so that Jinzo is never summoned.
