Mexican Diablillo!!
the other day i was playing at a local store, when i decided to make a move to bring a controversy.
the move i made was to special summon a monster from the graveyard with COTH, and then sacrifice the monster that was special summoned for a jinzo. now, the ommission (as to someone must have called it) was that i didnt send COTH to the graveyard, and inmediatly the people that where wathching the match started to tell me to send COTH to the graveyard, because the monster was tributed and all. i stated (quoting rulebook V.5.0) that, in fact, the monster was used for a tribute, it wasn´t considered to have been "destroyed". call states that if COTH is removed or destroyed, the monster that was special summoned with COTH is destroyed, and that if the monster that was brought to play with COTH is "DESTROYED", that COTH destroys too, but, in this case, tributing for another monster it´s not destroying the monster.
now, if you would be so kind as to explain to me...
im i right or wrong?.
and if im wrong, could someone explain to me why? or...
if im right, why this tiny detail is so overlooked by everybody? (and i say everybody, because everyone i know at the local store where i play makes this ommission, and even at the regionals that where held here made this ommission too.)
PD.- neto, esto es lo que pregunte en una pagina acerca de como se usan las reglas, para que lo tengas en cuenta.
PD2.- and, densetsu, forgive me for not sending you the card list that i prommised, but i just moved and i cant find my carpet with my cards....if i found it, you will be the first to get the list of cards
