Call of the hunted, with spell canceller

just a quick question. doe's spell canceller when chined with call of haunted cancel a card like heavy storm?

I am just asking because I think it does as spell canceller does negete the effect heavy storm (which was activated first) has been argued against because of the chining if the effect of
Call Of The Haunted?????

P2 chains call of the haunted selecting spell canceller
No more cards. Resolve chain

Call of the haunted resolves bringing out spell canceller. As per his effect all spell cards are negated. Heavy storms effect is negated by spell canceller so it cannot destroy any spell or trap cards.

Also its in the rulings anyway.....

You can chain "Call of the Haunted" to a Spell Card, and Special Summon "Spell Canceller", to negate the effect of the Spell Card.

Reason!!!!!!!

Spell cancellers effect is continuous and so it becomes active from the moment it hits the field. Its not that it interrupts a chain or adds another link it just comes into play.

Well i dont mean this to sound rude but next time simply tell him to look up the rulings and then read up on continuous effects. Or even take a second to explain it to the guy and hopefully he will know what the story is from now on.

understanding of rulings and continuous effects was not the problem here it is was confusion in which the order of the chain would have been resolved in!!!
