can I chain 'Gift of the Mystical Elf'???

The scenario, I wish an answer to, is this.
If my Lifepoints are below 7000, and I had set, 'Gift of the Mystical Elf' and Self-Destruct Button. If I chained the 2 together, without any other in between would I win by the monsters on the field?

Chain 1 = 'Gift of the Mystical Elf'
Chain 2 = 'Self-Destruct Button'

Resolving, Chain 2 then Chain 1, is that right?

You're off on 2 points here.

1) You must have at least 7000 less Life Points than your opponent to activate Self-Destruct Button, not merely less than 7000 life points.

2) When Self-Destruct Button resolves, the round is considered a Draw and ends right there. There is no further resolving any other effects. So no, you can't fudge your way around it.
