"Casual Play" Fiend Deck

Please don't flame my deck (i'm getting rather sensitive to "constructive criticisms" lately)
For me to learn, I need to know why certain card choices are "inappropriate" and what benefit the other suggested fixes would bring to my deck, so that I can make an informed decision when repairing it. I thank you all kindly in advance.

With difficulty in getting these, I don't suppose you have any Enemy Controllers for Brain Control, or Smashing Grounds for Fissure? (I only just last week got my first Enemy controler out of a pack). It looks real good. I like what you will be doing with that Compolsary/Lava trick. I think, though that you have plenty of Monster protection, maybe you could drop a Waboku for a Dust Tornado (that way you can set something for your turn, say a Compulsary??). I see why you are avoiding Heavy Storm, but you should be able to get heavy hitters out fairly easily with this set, so it is important to clear their backfield for the onslaught (especially that 4400 ATK Garzett of yours!). Also, be careful with Newdoria. It's manditory effect can bite it's owner. If I can suicide a 1200 ATK minster into him, and have no other monster, while you do (say necrofear?) you loose her. I would replace 1 Newdoria for Night Assailant, jsut in cade. Also, what are your defenses against the warrior toolbox and the flips? How about Dark Ruler HaDes? And, if you really want to play mean, side deck a Return from the Different Dimension or two. Then, with all these Fiends removed from play, you can bring them all back for a good trouncing (even Ha Des can be reborn from RFP!!!) But these are just possible spins on your already nice deck. Other options: Kisetai is a good stall or.... if you trade your Wabokus for Threatening Roars you can make great use of Jowls of Dark Demise. Hope you like...

It's like fish...throw the bones away.

These is just my opinions. I'm not really going to work on the monsters much since honestly you go with what you like the best. I would agree that moving Night Assailant to the main deck is probably a better choice. This way you can use him to get back Magician of Faith or Slate Warrior. Might swap him for a Newdoria or Wall of Illusion. Reflect Bounder, while a good card, doesn't quite fit the synergy of the deck. I'd probably suggest a Mystic Tomato since then you can search out Sangan, Spirit Reaper, Wall of Illusion, or Newdoria.

Now for the spells and traps. I like what you have (or the premise behind them). Most of them are just stalls though. You might inflict damage, but in most cases, your opponent's monster will still be there, threatening you next turn.

I'm going to take out 2 Wabokus and 2 Dimensional Walls. Now, you may or may not have what I list, but I'll try for cards that you likely may have.

1) I'd move the Sakuretsu Armor to the Main Deck.
2) Heavy Storm really should be added to the deck because you really don't have much in regards to S/T removal.
3) For the last 2 spots, I'd suggest experimenting with Rush Recklessly and Mirror Wall. Rush Recklessly being a quick play lets you set it and activate it in the damage step. Mirror Wall is a trap that also can be activated in the damage step. The advantages with these is that you can boost your monster (or lower your opponent's monster) such that you are doing damage and destroying your opponent's monster in the process.

Just some suggestions after giving things a quick one over. I have some other ideas too, but that'll basically involve retuning the whole deck from scratch (or just about). But we can work on that later.

Your turn Dillie-O.

Thanks guys...
Yay!! I got my third Slate Warrior in the mail today *all promos :D
This means...out goes a Goblin Elite Attack Force for it.
It also means, out goes a Newdoria for a Night Assailant.
*I was going to do it anyway..I was just waiting.lol
Reflect Bounder, I'm just trying out in here. I realise that it doesn't fit the Fiend Synergy, but just seeing if it would work with my "burn" cards. I may side-deck it.
If I start putting Tomatoes in here, next will come Creature Swaps & it will slowly de-evolve into a Fiend/Swap deck (doesn't want this to happen)
I'd prefer Enemy Controllers to Brain Controls, but I gotta wait for the new Machine Structure *even then it's dicey I'll ever own them (same story with Smashing Grounds)
I'll try out these suggestions. thanks again.

How is that double necrofear double golem working for you? That concerns me a bit in the monster lineup. I think Necrofear and Golem are great ideas, but you don't want a dead hand, so I'd recommend 1 Dark Ruler, 1 Summoned Skull (oldie but a goodie for beat down), 1 Golem and 1 Necrofear. This will give you a lot more options as well for the Great Maju Tribute.

Great deck! Aren't fiends the greatest?!

My suggestion is pull Reflect Bounder and one copy of Wall Of Illusion (forgive me Dillie-O) leave both copies of Newdoria, and add Night Assialant and 2 copies of Mystic Tomato. The Mystic Tomatos will give you better field presence and let you search for multiple monsters you already have in your deck.

The changes I've made provide much better field on both sides of the field while trimming your deck down by 1 card. This is an aggressive format, I feel it's needed.

-1 Wall Of Illusion
-1 Reflect Bounder

-1 Brain Control
-2 Dimension Wall
-2 Waboku

+1 Night Assialant
+2 Mystic Tomato
+1 Smasing Ground / Fissure
+1 Torrential Tribute
+1 Return From The Different Dimension

so I'd recommend 1 Dark Ruler, 1 Summoned Skull (oldie but a goodie for beat down), 1 Golem and 1 Necrofear. This will give you a lot more options as well for the Great Maju Tribute.

Great deck! Aren't fiends the greatest?!

Yes, thank you Dillie-O. Any excuse to run Summoned Skull is good enough for me.
As for Wabokus, I'm still not ready to remove them coz they work great for me.
As for Return From the Different Dimension, that hardly ever worked for me (same with Dimension Fusion)
*waits for Painful Choice to return (if it ever does)
I shall muse upon my deck a bit longer.
Im just iffy about Tomatoing it atm.
Give me a little time to get used to these ideas *very stubborn & you guys know that. =)
Thanks for all the advice so far, I am in deep thought.

definitely use the tomatos.... as tribute fodder no need for swap...
there are wonderful head games to be played with helpoemer and dark dust spirit.....set one this game - set the other next...you may also want to see if you can scrape up a deck devastation virus or two....trib helpoemer for ddv in the face of immenant nonbattle destruction....
dark ruler hades & end of anubis are always going back and forth between deck & side deck...
dark factory of mass production - summoned skull , archfiend soldiers,opticlops...plain ol' beats.....

hmm...hmmm..I had that situation before....
I tried 3X Archfiend Soldiers with Mystic Plasma Zones & my Deck Devastation Viruses (along with Giant Orcs, Dark Ruler Ha Des & Great Maju Garzett)
Oops, that
4400 ATK Garzett of yours!).
Just increased to 4900.
Geez I wish I had a Ring + Barrel (2 of them, actually)
I mastered this trick very well back in my "newb days" :D

It was suggested I try Dark World again, but unfortunately not my playstyle. I play conservative aggressive (if the term exists)

Summoned Skull & Dark Necrofear vie for my affections as my fave card. I will not run a Fiend Deck without my "queen" "goddess" whateva. I could cut down to one & I may still do this.
I've playtested this deck with about a 65% win ratio, but my standards are a little higher than that. =)
Helpoemer is better IN the graveyard, so is a liability to Dark Necrofear, but I do dream of the day I'll make a Helpoemer/Mefist/Mask/Drop-off/Robbin Goblin annoyance deck. lol
dark factory of mass production - summoned skull , archfiend soldiers,opticlops...plain ol' beats.....
Aaah, Vanilla Fiendshakes..me like...
:2evil :skull :2evil

I have sided both Lava Golems, forget I ever knew about Dark World & have gone back to basic Beatdown. *my actual & preferred playstyle.
It was not that they were not working in the deck, I just prefer the "old school remove & kill" methodology.
As such, I don't know whether to use 2X Dark Ruler Ha Des or 2X Great Maju Garzett.
I really don't like to waste time, especially with a 2400 attack Slate Warrior.
Whatever the case, It's definite that I shall be running Monster Reincarnation *waits for a trade to come up.
I also still need that Ring of Destruction. I may also do something with Mystic Woks in here.
Problem being that where I live, I can't get as much practice as I need. YVD doesn't work on my PC, so I am literally screwed.
I'd like to put this deck through more "paces" than I have.
Thanks for the comments. =)
PS
'Pomie hard core.
What is that? sounds naughty. :2good

a few things..I have never traded outside Australia before & due to many past bad experiences in my country, I am very wary of trading online. Besides, all I own now is one Goldd (traded one to my daughter for a Mobius), but I have 3X "everything else" (in my trading folder)
I just don't know if I'll keep the other Goldd to "splash" in my side-deck yet. DW & DWL's don't work to good with Dark Ruler Ha Des & Dark Necrofear imho.
"Run Pot of Avarice" they say. Then I have no monsters in my Graveyard when I draw Dark Necrofear. "tis a vicious cycle.
I still believe that Dark World needs to be "it's own deck" & without an "alternate win condition" it is too unreliable & inconsistent.
I may make a "Third Planet" deck later on *when I feel like it & get around to getting 2 more Goldds myself.
Thus, everything is sorta "up in the air atm" so to speak.
Sorry 'bout that & thx for the explanation. =)

Not a prob. It sounds like things are squaring away well for you. Here's a trick at getting card I've found. Go to eBay and search for Monster Reincarnation. Then down at the bottom of the page and take a peek at the eBay Stores places, I'm seeing a couple at the moment that are going for a penny. Or try searching only the "buy it now" options and sort by lowest price. I kid you not. I picked up my two Necrofears for a nickel and a dime a piece 8^D

And for those of us who aren't American, and who don't have random nicknames for money?

Some people don't use dollars, and as such might not know the meaning of "nickels" and "dimes" (or at least get them confused). They are, anyway, nicknames for particular quantities of money, such as "grand" for "thousand".

I wasn't meaning to insinuate you should now what they are. I was only clarifying that he wasn't using nicknames. Nickle and Dime are the names of the 5 cent and 10 cent coins respectively.

DOH! Yeah, sorry. I literally got the necrofear for $.05 and $.10 respectively.

But anyway, back to the deck...
