I recieved my level 1 judge card 6 months after I passed... the same day I passed my level 2 test.

Interesting, well, I might want to pass my next judge test within six months so UDE doesn't waste money on creating me a 3rd card then. XD Cause I passed the Player Management test and I'm sure they send out a new card to cover whatever new test(s) you've passed. It took them roughly 4 to 6 months to mail me my LV1 Judge card (which is VERY worn right now...XD). So just do something to entertain yourself for the next 6 months. Such as passing the next judge test, buildling decks, owning people in the games, writing articles, interviewing players at events, etc.. Whatever to pass the time.

I just wish Metagame was more broad over the events they cover. Some day they'll cover everything, some day..XD I wouldn't mind reading about regionals and not just Nationals and Shonen Jump Championships. Reading about those gets boring after while cause the people you know that went there didn't get any coverage. =/ Such as life.

I think that's all Metagame covers though. UDE doesnt really attend many "smaller" major events, like Regionals, unless it is attached to a Shonen Jump. Especially since there are so many on a yearly basis.

You can now cover a Regional tournament yourself and write and article for submission. Read Julia's instructions on how to do so.

Well I got my card when I passed my Lv2 and when I passed my Lv3. Haven't gotten anything for my PM.

Funny thing? I passed my Lv2 never got the shirt.

Checking the FAQ about judging your supose to be mailed a shirt when you pass the Lv2.

I have wrote them SEVERAL TIMES and I haven't gotten a responce. WTF. It would be nice to have a shirt but, it doesn't make who you are. It does help to make you look uniform, but just do the best with what you have.

Personally I've never known anyone to recieve a judge's shirt without working a major event without UDE employees attending. That doesn't, of course, mean it can't happen or that they don't mail them out.....it's just my experience.

Are you saying that the mailing out of a Judge Shirt is the stuff of "Urban Legend", and that the only true way to get a shirt is by Judging at a Regional or above???

Ehh, I got one already, I guess I can't be too Greedy. Although it's nice to be recognized for the work it took to gain the knowledge to pass the LV2. That isnt something to take lightly.

*Shrugs* I've got both, I never recieved a shirt directly from UDE themselves as far as it goes and really it doesn't bother me either way.

I got the blue one after I judged my first event with Star City back in Jan. 2004. I got the "Panda" one a year later after Star City realized I was judging their events like every other week so rather than have me wear it, they wash it and I wear it again a couple weeks to a month later. Matt just decided to hand it to me and say "Here, you wash it and bring it with you for events."

As far as TheOne's post goes, I'm surprised you haven't recieved one. Most PTO's (not just Star City) allow their long-term judges to keep their shirts. If you've judged for a PTO for awhile then I'm just surprised that they hadn't allowed you to keep it. I really don't know anyone personally (I believe someone up here said they did recieve one though) that has actually recieved anything in the way of a shirt directly from UDE in the mail for the judge certification program, so don't feel alone.

Yep, never got one. Our PTO gives them out SOMETIMES. For everything else we have had to wear the Prerelease shirts, DCI Judge Shirts and our own Polos. There isn't really a 'rent', bring this back.

Sad times no love for TheOne.
