Chain Burst

OK. If I bait doll an opponent's trap with Chain Burst on the field who takes the damage? The player who owns the trap or me for forcing the activation.

You will not take damage.

I will say that the opponent will not take damage either--stretching from the fact that Activation Costs are not paid to activate Bait Doll--it is Bait Doll that activates the Trap not a player.

LON rulings should be up soon, though.

but if I bait doll a "Magic Jammer" then it's cost has to be paid, Same for "Hallowed Life Barrier", "Two-Pronged Attack" and other traps with activation costs. Technically is it not forcing the player to activate that trap targeted by "Bait Doll"?

You do not have to pay Magic Jammers cost. Magic Jammer's timing would be incorrect and it would be destroyed. You can however pay Magic Jammers cost to chain it to Bait Doll.

Hallowed Life Barrier cost does NOT have to be paid... to pay the cost is to activate it in Chain to Bait Doll.

Two Pronged Attack does not have a cost.

Would not Magic Jammer be forced to activate in response to Bait Doll becoming a link in the chain? Same with Magic Drain, Cursed Seal, Solemn Judgment, etc. The activation timing would be correct for those as a spell card was played.

You do not have to pay Magic Jammers cost. Magic Jammer's timing would be incorrect and it would be destroyed. You can however pay Magic Jammers cost to chain it to Bait Doll.

Bait Doll
LON-EN096
Force the activation of 1 face-down Trap Card. If the timing of the activation of the Trap Card is incorrect, negate the effect and destroy it. If it is not a Trap Card, it is returned to its original position. After this card is activated, it is placed into the Deck (not the Graveyard). Then shuffle the Deck.

OK you're right on Two Pronged Attack as the effect destroys 2 monsters on the controller's side and then one on the other.

so if he Bait Dolls a face down Ring of Destruction...you can just say no i don't wanna blow up one of my monsters?
RoD has proper timing if there is a monster that can be targeted on the field and Jinzo is not face-up, so you must use RoD (you have no choice).

EDIT: You don't have to chain RoD on the Activation of "Bait Doll", but when "Bait Doll" resolves, RoD must resolve if activation timing is correct (see above).
