Cloudian Trouble :P

Odd scenario, but nonetheless it bothers me




My friend has a Relinquished and a Cloudian monster equip to it (It has altus 1300 ATK)

And I summon a Cloudian - Acid cloud

Now for the question:

How many fog counters does my cloudian gets

(The thing is that relinquished never says that it becomes a equip card or something else)

Relinquished:
Select 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field and equip it to this card (this effect can only be used once per turn and you can only equip 1 monster at a time to this card). The ATK and DEF of this card become the same amounts as the monster equipped to this card. If this card is destroyed as a result of battle, the equipped monster is destroyed instead, and any battle damage you received from the battle is also inflicted to your opponent's Life Points.


Cloudian - Acid Cloud:

This card cannot be destroyed by battle. If this card is in face-up Defense Position, destroy it. When you Normal Summon this card, place 1 Fog Counter on it for each "Cloudian" monster on the field. You can remove 2 Fog Counters from this card to destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card.

Equip Cards are always either Spell or Trap. The act of equipping anything to a monster makes it an Equip Card. And in the case of monsters, they default to Equip Spell Cards when equipped to another monster.

Cloudian - Altus, is no longer a Cloudian Monster while equipped to Relinquished. So it wouldn't be counted for any Fog Counters when Acid Cloud is summoned.

For some reason I thought that Acid cloud said: Cloudian CARD on the field



Anyway...

Another question...

This time its about lucky cloud

Would you still gain its effect if it is the SAME monster?

Let's say that you have no monsters and you have Summon Cloud and use it's effect to special summon a cloudian. Later that turn it somehow goes to your hand via effect of penguin or ordeal or something. Then in your main 2 you normal summon the same monster.

Would I gain the effect of lucky cloud and draw 2 cards?

Or does the card mean you should summon 2 different monster cards?

Because the card was returned to your Hand, it is seen as a completely different card. You will get the effect of "Lucky Cloud".
