Cold Wave, Continuous Spell/Traps that Trigger

I looked through the old posts and didn't see this covered... although I did see Simon Key asking questions which made me realize he's mortal, phew!

If a face-up Continuous Spell/Trap Card, say Stumbling is already face-up and resolved on my opponent's side of the field, and my first action of my MP1 I activate Cold Wave... After that, my next action is to Normal Summon a monster... does Stumbling activate and turn the monster to face-up defense position?

Same scenario, but the opponent has an optional trigger, say Ordeal of a Traveler, face-up and resolved already, and I declare an attack that same turn. Can Ordeal be activated?

Continuous cards (with CONTINUOUS effects) already resolved on the field will be immune to Cold Wave, cards like Stumbling would not be able to trigger.

cards like level limit area B, stumbling are continuous effects that are applied even between chain links. they would still apply even if cold wave was activated, because the cards' effects are always applied.

e.g. stumbling's effect does not use the chain. if a monster was normal summoned, it is changed to defense position.

you cannot chain to stumbling's effect in hopes of having your new effect resolve before stumbling, but you can chain to one of 2 things after the monster has been successfully summoned and changed to defense position:
1. monster being summoned (torrential, bottomless trap hole)
2. monster being changed to defense position (tragedy)

i'd say an ignition-type continuous card (shifting shadow, royal oppression) would not be able to use its effect because a player has to make an actual action to use it, whilst continuous cards just go on doing their thing.

e.g.

i have a face up the A. forces, card trader, marauding captain and command knight on my field. marauding's ATK is now 2000 (+400 from command, + 400 (2 warriors x 200 from A. forces))
i end my turn

opponent only activates cold wave then ends his turn

my turn:
i draw
enter standby i would NOT be able to shuffle back in a card to draw a new one.
enter main phase. i summon mataza.
marauding's ATK is now 2200 (+400 from command, +600 (3 warriors x 200 from a. forces))

Stumbling DOES use the chain:

The effect of "Stumbling" goes on a chain immediately after a monster is Summoned. As a mandatory Trigger Effect, "Stumbling" is always on the chain before optional Trigger Effects ("Mobius the Frost Monarch") or chained Spell & Trap Cards ("Trap Hole").

It is a trigger effect and as so, it uses the chain, again, ONLY continuous effects will be unaffected by Cold Wave.
