Command Knight

So just for a flat out answer/ruling, will Command Knight's effect be errata'ed to "... increase the ATK of all OF YOUR Warrior-Type monsters by 400 points."?

Dear sir,

Basically to break it down to dust....

She is basically a field card! She increases the atk of herself and all warriors. For her not to be attacked you need another warrior..

Some one correct me if I'm wrong....

Command Knight's current printed text:

"As long as at least 1 other monster exists on your side of the field, your opponent cannot select this card as an attack target. Also, as long as this card remains face-up on the field, increase the ATK of all Warrior-Type monsters by 400 points."

I was asking if the increase portion would be changed to only affect it's controller.

hi,

it seems so,
but i have no offizial errata,
the german command knight has the text that only your warrior gain 400atk. and i think that the german command knight is an updatet version

This card should have errata soon. Although I am still waiting for Fairy King Truesdale's real increasing position.

Anyway, you can be sure of the errata, although it is not official, by looking at the official rulings:

" Command Knight"'s effect increases its own ATK by 400 points, in addition to your other Warrior-Type monsters.

If you control multiple "Command Knights", their effects are cumulative so each will increase all of your Warrior-Type monsters' ATK by 400 points.

But the players don't know that. It never fails that one or more argue about it, never taking my word for it, until I dig out all of my paperwork.....a Bible....and show them the postings. Someone needs to get UDE to post it up soon, along with the others that have been added, but aren't on the listing.

You can't tell me you have never had people argue a ruling or afterwords, even when you showed them it(showed em up) not call you an A- hole or something.

You have to remember, some players build a deck, and before they even play it, go hunt up every ruling, scenario that their cards can be put into. So when they play they believe they are correct, as it is what they have in their mind/little black books, as a ruling. It always causes problems, and no matter how diplomatically you handle it, you still piss them off and they usually get irate.

Also remember, being a Judge for some people, is nothing. They don't care who you say you are, or what you are, they are always right and you are always wrong. I call them hardheaded, and general very disruptive/rude players. Everyone has come across one or two like that in their careers. It's just a fact of life.

As of this time, UDE no longer uses the errata section of their site anymore I believe, they more or less issue rulings on the cards.

Right now Fairy King Truesdale is to be played by it's ruling that it must be in defense mode for the power boost effect to happen, this has been official for at least 4 months now, and became official around the time Nationals hit I believe.

Command Knight was corrected upon release with it's ruling. UDE misprinted the cards in America, but the cards in Europe were all printed correctly, to keep the game constant, UDE went ahead and issued a ruling that the card only powered up the controllers warriors, this has been official since like a week after Command Knight was released, so for a very long time.

I hope that helps you guys.

Yes I can. I've never had people argue a ruling by me at a tournament.

Because I've never been at a tourney in my life.

Is there any official website that holds these issued rulings on an archive or something, this is the first time ive ever heard of this apparently long standing ruling and id like to know where to get the latest information. :| I also find it odd ive never seen it on the yahoo netrep group or why they keep the errata page on the home site if they basically abandoned it.

Command Knight increases Warriors on YOUR side of the field only. The English
version of Command Knight is misprinted. We'll have an errata up as soon as we
get approval from Japan to do that.

I've seen the German, Spanish, and French Command Knights and they're fine.
Haven't checked Italian/Portuguese yet....

I tried to look this one up and since netrep.net is inactive and I
can't find anything here or on yugioh-card.com on this I thought I'd
ask the Pros.

Does Fairy King Trusdales' effect only work when it is in face up
defense mode?

Is this more errata or am i just sounding stupid?

TIA

Answer:

The effect of "Fairy King Truesdale" only works while it is in face-up Defense
Position.

If it is in Attack Position its effect is not active.

I have been shamed by my oversight :-(.  Well, in my defense I did search the yahoo groups a good number of times, just not recently enough to catch that without it slipping too far behind in the listings. Anyway, my question has been throughly answered.

i am sry to bee out of topic, but
how can i join the judge list?
i hear that there is a link in the email from the level 1 judge test.... but its a long time ago that i made these test. so, how can i join the group now?

To join the judge group you must have successfully passed the Level 1 exam, and have a Yahoo Email account. You should get an invite shortly after passing.

I've had people argue against my rulings before, and over silly stuff. Skill Drain and Quick plays mostly. I couldn't convince someone that Skill Drain DID NOT negate Sangan or Witch, Germ and such because they are graveyard effects. They thought since they were face up on the field that they had been negated permanently. I just decided to let it go, lucky it was just a casual duel and not a tourney. The Quick play one I was able convince them, Yes Quick plays could be played from your hand during your turn. Now I just carry around a binder of rulings as proof and as a last resort
