Contract with the Abyss Vs Disturbance strategy

Consider this scenario:

Player A activates "Contract with the abyss" and is holding "Dark master - Zorc" in his/her hand with appropriate tributes available.

Player B chains with "Disturbance strategy".

Resolve chain.

Player A refreshes his/her hand but draws "Relinquished" instead of Zorc.

The question is, is it allowable to summon "Relinquished" when "Contract with the abyss" resolves?

the activation cost of "contract with abyss" is the tribute of "X" number of monsters from hand and/or field whose nmber os stars match exactly the number of stars of the ritual monster that you want to ritual sumon

if "disturbance of strategie" is chained to "contract with abyss" , it will resolve first, forcing the oponent to shuflle his hand

when the link1 resolves, if player does not have dark master zorc in his hand to ritual sumon , the efct of "contract with abyss" will disappear because you will need a 8 star ritual monster snd relinquished has only 1 star

Tributing for a Ritual Summon is NOT a cost. If you have a 1 star monster, you would be able to Tribute it for Relinquished.

Keep in mind that for Contract with the Abyss, the number of stars must be exactly equal to the monster you are tributing for.

so basically i play contract with abyss

trow the "x" number of monster in hand and/or field to grave

them ritual sumon

or in another words

i offer the monster when the card resolves and not when it is activated right?

You Activate "Contract with the Abyss", then waits for your opponent to add to the chain. On resolution, throw the "x" number of monster(s) in hand and/or field to the Graveyard with total number of stars equaling to the monster level you are Ritual Summoning. If you fail to pay the cost becuase you can't get the equal number of stars, then "Contract with the Abyss" resolves without effect, and you don't pay the cost (so you don't Tribute your monsters).

In addition, you can Ritual Summon a non-Ritual Monster, such as "Dark Magician" (This is a shock for me!)

Um..where did you get this info?

The UDE FAQ still states: "You cannot use "Contract with the Abyss" to Ritual Summon a non-Ritual Monster like "Dark Magician"."

LOL! Double Shocker! I got cross-eyed when I read that, and I was half asleep. For some reason, when I see "cannot" sometimes I read it as "can"; and when I see "can" sometimes I see it "cannot". I donno. It's just me. I wish they just write it as:
 • can
 • can NOT
Sorry for the confusion. Now, where is my coffee........

EDIT: I wonder why they put that ruling in there since it's a given the Ritual Summon is different from Normal Summon and Special Summon. It just makes it confusing, like for me. :)

The problem with that scenario is the monster to be ritual summoned by contract selected at actiation or resolution?????
If when contract is activated you select and declare the monster you intend to ritual summon ( I could be wrong ) if the monster is no longer in hand the card loses it's declared target.

if otherwise all the more reason to run contract instead of the specific card in a dark ritual deck.
