creature swap and guardian sphinx

Mexican Diablillo!!
i was having a duel with my friend the other day, when something ocurred:

1.- i played "crature swap", handling my face up sinister serpent, and he, having only a guradian spinx in face down position, he handle it out to me.

2.- i turned his guardian sphinx in face up attack position, returning my sinister serpent to my hand, and attacked.

3.- after i passed turn, he played snatch & steal on the sphinx, and attacked my life points...heres is the doubt...

he wanted to put his guardian sphinx in face down defense mode again, but doing that, he would be destroying snatch & steal..the doubt is, if he had turned the sphinx down, would control of it would have had changed back to me, or would it stayed on his side of the field??

can someone help me on this one?.. :? :? :bishop: :bishop: thks a bucnh you guys

Actually, you wouldn't have been able to flip "Guardian Sphinx" face-up this turn since the effect of "Creature Swap" prevents the manual change of position of the monsters swapped after the spell resolves.

Now if you did this on your next turn and then he proceeded to "Snatch Steal" it back, yes he could flip it back face down, "Snatch Steal" is destroyed, and he retains control.
