Creature Swap, Dream Clown, Zero Gravity

This is similar to another thread about Creature Swap, Magician of Faith, and Desert Sunlight; but I felt there might possibly be some difference.

My opponent has a face-up Mother Grizzly and activates Creature Swap.
I have a face-up attack position Dream Clown, and I chain Zero Gravity.

Zero Gravity resolves, triggering Dream Clown's effect.
Creature Swap gives me Mother Grizzly, and I give away Dream Clown.
That chain is resolved, now Dream Clown's effect starts a new chain, so I target Dream Clown who is now on my opponent's side of the field.

Dream Clown is destroyed.

Is this right?

The Chain would look like this

Step 1 Creature Swap is Activated
Step 2 Zero Gravity is Activated in Responce to Creature Swap

Chain Resolves:

Zero Gravity resolves switching the battle poisition of all monsters on the field which activates Dream Clown's effect. Now, here is the tricky part. If Dream Clown's effect needs to wait for a new chain in order to resolve, then it could destory itself, as you are in control of its effect, and by that point, Dream Clown itself is an opponet's monster. If Dream Clown's effect can occur in the middle of the chain, then Monster Grizzly would be destoied, and Creature Swap's effect would dissappear as you opponet would no longer have a monster on the field (which is necessary for its effect to resolve properly.

So you're saying that TER could absorb it self?? IT MAKES NO SENSE!!!! *SCREAMS* ARGH!!! STUPID FINALS!!! *head explodes, again*

LoL, of course not, there's key differences between those 2 situations.

Thousand-Eyes Restrict can only target an opponent's monsters, if control were to change of Thousand-Eyes Restrict while targetting the opponent's monster, it cannot be done because Thousand-Eyes Restrict is now under the opponent's control, and cannot target a monster on the same side of the field making it incorrect and the would fizzle.

The Dream Clown situation is different. It wouldn't be considered targetting itself since it's now and opponent's monster.

Um, Dream Clown can only target opponent's monsters, so what were you saying about that again;)? Also, only 1 more final to go, but it's PRE-CALCULUS!!! T_T

taking tony's argument...

If Dream Clown's effect can occur in the middle of the chain, then Monster Grizzly would be destoied, and Creature Swap's effect would dissappear as you opponet would no longer have a monster on the field (which is necessary for its effect to resolve properly.

in this case it is resonable to assume that since Dream Clown's effect is a forced effect that it would activate and resolve in the "middle" of the chain i.e.

player A plays Creature Swap
player B chains/responds with Zero Gravity

resolution:

Zero Gravity forces all mons n def mode
which ignites Dream Clown so Dream Clown must destroy other monster
Creature Swap fizzles out cause player B has no mon to swap

taking this Reasoning from chain resolutions, tony's Reasoning, and Graceful Charity vs. nite assilant

Dream Clown must wait for the chain to finish resolving, adn start a new chain.

Dream Clown is a chainable Triggered effect, not a continuous effect:

[Re: My Body as a Shield] "My Body as a Shield" will negate cards such as "¦ "¦ "Dream Clown" "¦

You cannot use "My Body as a Shield" against monsters with continuous effects"¦

LoL, wait a minute chaosruler, have I been agreeing with you this whole time and not realize it. Because, yes my friend you can nuke Dream Clown with it's own effect in this situation. Or do I need glasses and I am totally reading your response wrong? -.-
