creature swap on mataza

Can I play Creature Swap and select Mataza the Zapper? So that control shift of Mataza the Zapper doesn't resolve since control of Mataza the Zapper can't shift and my opponent suffers giving up one of his/her monsters for free?

Can I play Creature Swap and select monster cards who are unaffected by Spell cards?

But you can play Creature Swap on a face-down Mataza the Zapper.

No you can't play Creature Swap on a face-up monster who is unaffected by Spell cards (but you can on a face-down).

creature swap need 2 valid targets when the card is activated AND when it resolves in order to shif monsters

since mataza is unaffected by spells making him a invalid target, creature swap cannot be activated

if you have 2 monsters ,one of them being mataza, you can still proceed with creature swap

but if oponent chain ring of destruction in your valid monster remaining only mataza when creature swap resolves

THEM creature swap would resolve without effct(fizzles)

what? so monsters like Mataza and monster cards who are unaffected by spell cards are "invalid" selections when Creature Swap resolves?

i checked out Card Registry and i see no ruling about it. mind me on my example, but, Mataza the Zapper's effect doesn't neccessarily negate cards that would control shift him, they just fizzle and dissappear.

i can't see why Creature Swap can't be activated at all during a turn if I had a Mataza the Zapper face-up and my opponent has one valid monster on his side of the field, and that goes for monsters unaffected by spells too.

Yes. Mataza and monster cards who are unaffected by Magic cards are "invalid" selections when Creature Swap resolves.

The rule existed previously. It dissappeared, but, from what I know, it has not been changed.

It is all based in a simple rule. You must meet a condition to activate and resolve this card correctly.

Example: You cannot activate Raigeki if your opponent doesn't have monsters on the field.

The condition of Creature Swap is that both players must have a monster whose control can change, obviously due to the effect of a Magic Card. You can't activate Creature Swap if the condition is not met. And, if Ring of Destruction is applied to the only monster on a side of the field in a chain, the condition will not be met at resolution and the card will do nothing.

That's all.

Mataza is affected by spell cards.

The full text of Mataza the Zapper:

This monster can attack twice during the same Battle Phase. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, control of this card cannot switch.

Well, not all Spell Cards, if you want to be specific about it. A face-up "Mataza the Zapper" cannot be selected as a target for "Change of Heart," "Snatch Steal," or similar cards that would attempt to switch control of Mataza.

Similarly, you cannot use "Creature Swap" at all if "Mataza the Zapper" is the only monster on your side of the field. Remember, both players MUST be able to give their opponent a monster, or "Creature Swap"'s entire effect disappears.

So, to put it in simple terms -- it's all or nothing when it comes to the effect of "Creature Swap." There will never be a situation in which you get a monster from your opponent without giving them one of yours via "Creature Swap"'s effect.
