Cyber Jar VS flips

nkarunatilaka

The Syndicate...
Some of my friends were wondering what would occur in the following situation.

Player A has a set Cyber Jar

Player B activates Book of Taiyou to flip the Face Down Cyber Jar face up.

Cyber Jar's effect activates and resolves.

Player B set a Magician of Faith from Cyber Jar's effect.

Now heres the thing; they say that they can flip there Magician of Faith that turn as it was not summoned by the turn player; and that it was summoned by Cyber Jar's effect and not themselves. They gather this from what was posted online at http://www.upperdeckentertainment.com/yugioh/en/faq_advanced.aspx
Exception #2: You cannot "manually" change the battle position of a monster if it was Summoned or Set that turn by the turn player.
and this as well
You CAN change the battle position of a monster "manually" if it was Summoned or Set, but not by the turn player.
They state that since Cyber Jar is what summoned them, they are allowed to flip-summon them that turn.

Although i ruled otherwise and said that you cannot flip summon a set card(s) from Cyber Jar effect that turn.
They just wanted a second opinion. Any help would help out. thanks all-
neil k.

I don't see what the problem is here. Cyber Jar Special Summons the monsters. Just from that part of the effect alone is what makes the monsters unable to Flip Summon that turn.

EDIT: Errr, I mean "is what makes the player unable to change that/those monster(s) position(s) manually."
