okay yall, i was remember on a ruling about how d. d. warrior grils effect get negated when battling dark ruler ha des, but my doubts were in the text on both cards.

dark rulers:

As long as this card remains face-up on the field, negate the effects of Effect Monsters destroyed by Fiend-Type monsters on your side of the field in battle. This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard.

D. D. Warrior Lady:
When this card battles another monster, after Damage Calculation you can remove the opponent's monster and this card from play.

viewing both cards, it tells me that before d. d. warrior lady even gets destroyed she is capable of removing the monster right?

but it seems that she cannot. but at the same time wouldnt she be able to since she has yet to be destroyed?

or is it that right after calculation the monster gets destroyed or is it a little before it?

my real question here is, Why is it that the warrior girl cannot use her effect while the ruler is out?

D. D. Warrior Lady's effect is activated after the point where she is considered destroyed. She isn't sent to the Graveyard yet, but because she was destroyed due to Damage Calculation, Dark Ruler Ha Des negates her effect.

so she is considered destroyed before sent to graveyard. i see.

what about IFL?

her effects activate during damage calculation so that means befoer she is destroyed.

and

amazoness swords woman just makes the damage go to owner of the ruler. hence not being negated.

correct?

Both effects mentioned resolve before Damage Calculation is over. The monster in question is not destroyed yet. So yes, Injection Fairy Lily may use its effect and Amazoness Swords Woman will redirect the Battle Damage.

so her effects only get negated because she is considered destroyed, not because she is destroyed?

It does sound confusing, let me try explaining.

Both of these effects happen after damage is dealt, although Ha Des is dependent on whether or not the damage it deals to a monster is lethal. Once it is determined that Ha Des has destroyed the monster, the monster is considered destroyed and will eventually go to the graveyard as a result of battle. The only reason why the monster has not left the field is because the damage step has not yet reached that step. After damage calculation has been dealt with, D.D. Warrior Lady's effect will be considered since it has reached it's proper activation timing. Since D.D. is considered destroyed at this point she will not be able to activate her effect since any monster destroyed by Ha Des in battle will have it's effect negated. After this point, monsters are sent to the graveyard and the game continues.

That help?

Like I said to a player the other day... the only way D.D. Warrior Lady's effect will go off against Dark Ruler Ha Des is if (the ALMIGHTY) Waboku is activated...

okay i understand.

so d. d. warrior girl is considered destroyed hence getting ripped of her effect, but if you do waboku or hallowed life barrier then she wouldnt get it because she never got destroyed.

okay that works out great. :D

thanks guysl. this clears everything all up. :D
