Okay, time for a really stupid question, but on ethat has had my brain ticking over.

If I take ZERO battle damage in an attack, could I activate damage condser to summon a monster with ZERO attack ?

In order to activate Damage Condenser you must have taken Battle Damage.

ok....so damage of just 1lp is enough for activation...got ya

there goes my stupid idea out the window

You would have to take at least 1 damage, but you can still Special Summon a monster with 0 ATK after you fulfill Damage Condenser's cost.
