Dark Magician Girl, CT2-EN004

Dark Magician Girl
(DARK/Spellcaster/6/2000/1700)
Increase the ATK of this card by 300 points for each "Dark Magician" or "Magician of Black Chaos" in either player's Graveyard.

Rulings:

[Re: Lone Wolf] If you have "Monk Fighter" targeted by "Lone Wolf", the following are examples of monster effects that will NOT be negated because they are not applied to a monster: "Airknight Parshath" (damage is inflicted and a card is drawn), "Fiber Jar" ("Monk Fighter" is shuffled into the Deck), "Maju Garzett" (the ATK of "Maju Garzett" does not become 0), "Susa Soldier" (the damage to Life Points is still halved), "Dark Magician Girl" (her ATK is still increased by her effect), "Stone Statue of the Aztecs" (Battle Damage to your Life Points is doubled), "Amazoness Fighter" (opponent's Battle Damage to their Life Points is still zero), "Amazoness Swords Woman" (Battle Damage is still redirected), and "Reflect Bounder" (you still take effect damage to your Life Points).

Tin week's rolling boil simmers down to a warm bubbling as today's card, Dark Magician Girl, the lust of many perverted male duelists, ends it. This one has a different art then the usual Dark Magician Girl, and this one is straight from the Yugi Structure Deck (2?). I really like DMG, quite a bit, because Dark Magician support is always nice, but the fact Magician of Black Chaos is not in the TCG yet makes her effect abuse ½ of what it could be. There are a few cards that center around her, though, which is nice.

Dark Magician Girl doesn't really have combos in the current Advanced Format. Painful Choice, which is banned, can provide a quick power boost of at least 600, and even 900 if you get 3 Dark Magicians to the graveyard with it. (If MBoC was out, it could be a boost of 1500 from Painful Choice) There's also Sage's Stone which requires her to be on the field, and you can always tribute her for Sorcerer of Dark Magic along with Dark Magician after activating that. And there's even Deck Devastation Virus too.

DMG doesn't necessarily give you advantages or disadvantages, since her effect focuses on the graveyard. You can have a strong beatstick for one tribute (ATK 2900, and even 3800 if your opponent has 3 DM's in the graveyard as well), but then you have a disadvantage of feeling pressured to keep DM in the graveyard for her, where DM is a lot more useful for a DM deck than she is.

In today's Advanced format, running her isn't the greatest idea, because of the lack of Painful Choice. Dark Magician is much better on the field than he is in the graveyard, IMO"¦ Still, you can use her as a sort of fall back in case all of you DM's hit the graveyard. Keep in mind that when you summon her, make sure there's at least one or two DM's in the graveyard to make her worth your while. Two is ideal, and three is even better.

As should be apparent (is that proper English?), Dark Magician Girl best suits a Dark Magician Deck, because really, anywhere else is just redundant.

Soooooooooooo sexy. So so very sexy. Mana is such the cute one.
My friend has a costume, I'm still waiting to see her in it. ;)
Magician's Circle for the win, bring us Dimension Magic and Curtain of Black(Dark) Magic, and let the good times roll.

Okay, I've said enough, 26 year old fanboy, going to hide now.
