Dark Paladin MFC-105

Dark Paladin
Fusion Monster (Spellcaster / DARK / 8 Stars / ATK 2900 / DEF 2400)

"Dark Magician" + "Buster Blader"
This monster can only be Special Summoned by Fusion Summon. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, you can negate the activation of 1 Spell Card and destroy the Spell Card by discarding 1 card from your hand. The ATK of this card increases by 500 points for each Dragon-Type monster on the field and in either player's Graveyard.

And here's the other fusion that "Dark Magician" can be used with. First, the brief down side points. "Dark Paladin" is a Nomi monster so it can't be summoned from the Graveyard or Removed from Play. It also can't be brought out by the likes of "Metamorphosis", "Summoner of Illusions", or "Cyber Stein".

That said, what a beast. He's a 2900 base attacker... 1 of the strongest in the game. It can be increased by a lot for every dragon on the field or in either player's graveyard, making him more of a powerhouse. Lastly, he's a walking "Magic Jammer". While discarding a card isn't the best, if you have "Sinister Serpent" or a couple of "Night Assailant", it shouldn't be a problem and you can shut down half of your opponent's game. While you may need to build your dec around him in order to use him properly, "Dark Paladin" is one of the better cards in the game.

I personally love this monster. He has quite a few advantages. I ran a deck that could bring out him and Sorcerer of Dark Magic. Fun Fun.

A Big note for builders of this deck type. Either run Dark Magician and a fusion sub or Buster Blader and a fusion sub. I personally ran king of the swamp and dark magician (the dark magician having more support then buster blader) King of the swamp Makes bringing out this bad boy even easier by being a fusion sub and a way to grab a polyrmerization form your deck (i loved getting 2 king of the swamps and a dark magician in my opening hand)

Being a nomi is a downside though as once hes gone....hes gone.....

Still very workable fusion monster in my opinion

Heck, there's a reason he's nomi monster. His effect is almost as good as Horus LV 8. Anything that gives you that much control on what spell/s traps can be played HAS to have a limit to it can be summoned. So its no surprise he basically one of 'EXCEPT BY' monsters.

This guy is awesome. Hand management isn't problem with Night Assailant. Just two or three of them. Since its a fusion its even more perfect because your deck won't boggled down with so many high tributes. You can definitely use this with Sorcerer of Dark Magic.

I'd probably go with a fusion sub if I also go for Sorcerer. I mean there's White Skilled Magician but you don't have too many tributes.

The only thing left to really make this shine to have Fusion sage brought out in the english game.

Heh, Xeno, where are you? You're missin' your avatar's holiday.

Favorite

This is one of my favorite monsters in the game, lets face it, almost everyone runs dragons, the only deck it will have a problem with is warrior.

My deck "Black Magic of the Fallen" utilises both DP and SoDM, and Dark Paladin has always been a favorite of mine...well...since I saw Yugi vs Kaiba Battle City Semi Finals, before then I never really investigated him much, stuck to my DM/DMG part of the deck. He could even be slipped into a Dragon deck, considering he would also be boosted by your own monsters. Being Nomi is the obvious downfall, but built in Magic Jammer, very high atk and def make up for it
