Effect Monster (Warrior / DARK / 3 Stars / ATK 1000 / DEF 1000)

When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points, you can select and activate one of the following effects:
"¢ Return 1 card on the field to its owner's hand.
"¢ See 1 card on the top of your opponent's Deck. Your opponent does not see the card. Then return it on the top or the bottom of your opponent's Deck.

Here's a card that may see a little more use these days thanks to a newly found OTK involving him, "Makyura the Destructor", and "Call of the Haunted". Outside of that however, the effect isn't that great. If you are able to do damage with him, you can either bounce 1 card (monster, spell, or trap) back to the owner's hand, or take the top card of your opponent's deck and possibly disrupt it by placing it on the top or bottom (which depending on the situation could be more useful than merely sending it to the graveyard, but again not usually). Chick at least can slide under "Gravity Bind", "Messenger of Peace", and "Level Limit - Area B". However, unless you're looking at a dedicated Dark Scorpion deck or trying to get off the OTK, again, I'd have to pass.

I have to agree on this one. The kid only fits in a dedicated Dark Scorpion deck, really. The good news about him is yeah, he'll slide under all the stalling cards except Stumbling and the like.

yeah... i cant seem to figure out the OTK... is it just chick, CotH, and Makyura? hmm....

also, chick is at least better than meanae in the fact that hes a 3 star, which i think meanae should be. however, her effect is better. chick is also a bit out of place... all the other scorpions have an effect of deck destruction, whereas he has deck disruption... (well, meanae doesnt either, but she can get the scorpions to the hand)

(chick is also featured on the card "timidity"... just thought id throw that out)

i'll explain the otk

1)your turn, makyura gets sent to graveyard
2)chick in your grave
3)play call of the haunted
4)return chick
5)attack directly with chick
6)use his effect to return call of the haunted to your hand
7)chick dies
8)play call again, etc,etc.
repeat until golden brown and crunchy

That combo works, just read Call of the Haunted where it says:

"When this card is destroyed or removed from the field, the summoned monster is destroyed"

Basically you use Chick effect to bounce Call of the Haunted to the owner's hand then there ya go, MakyuraSentGraveyard+ChickDamage+BounceCall = OTK

aha... interesting, and very deadly OTK. to maximize its ability, keep a torrential tribute handy and a cat of ill omen to get CotH to the top of the deck easier... (im just using that as a way to draw call faster since its limited) chick and makyura both can be attained by reinforcement.... so like, summon makyura after having torrential set for a turn to destroy makyura and all your opponents monsters so you can actually use the combo effectively... interesting.... (yeah, im thinking out loud )
