Dark Tomato Swarm

since both player's lose their whole hands, whoever had less CIH gains X advantage, X being the diff. in hand sizes

idk if anyone said this but 48 cards is too many so take like 8 out

Ok all -

Lots and lots of replys with suggestions.....

kingpinopie, i strongly agree with you about Soul Exchange. I overlooked that card. It runs greatly in the deck, and yes, it will bring a new "dimension" to my tomato control.

Well Complex_Mind, the reason I usually have Morphing Jar in *almost* everyone of my decks is because like pssvr stated, its about gaining advantage. My style of play quickly burns my hand, so a set Morphing Jar helps me get back the adv., because i usually have a 0-1 CIH's during many times in the duel. I am aware however like you stated, that they will be able to get 5 new cards. And yes, sometimes they will get better hands than me, and sometimes they wont. Thats just how the game works.

But for my style of play, Morphing Jar greatly benefits me, and i use Card Destruction and Morphing Jar to quickly go through my deck and get those cards that i need. ;)

Inuyasha_Riku, a Byser Shock huh? I've never really considered that. Its actually not too bad an idea. It would be unexpected and suprise the opponent, and dont forget, clear the field. :)

Frost, 48 is a lot of cards, but with all the drawing capabilities in my deck (Cyber Jar, Morphing Jar, Card Destruction, and all the searcher cards; Mystic Tomato(s) and Sangan), I would be at a disadvantage with a lower deck (although most 40-42 card decks can get what they need) since i would/could deck myself out. But maybe i will try and lower the deck 2-3 cards if i can.

Well I would like to thank all of you guys that helped out with suggestions and all, so here is a revised version of the deck, using the suggestions that i thought were helpful.

heh. not bad. ;)

To be honest, if you are considering that tack, I'd pick Des Lacooda any day. Of course, if you REALLY wanted to uber abuse tomato, you'd try to find room for one of each swarm and a camel, to take advantage of the searching. That way, you could get whatever removal/draw you wanted whenever you need it. I'm thinking, also, that when EEN comes out, jar of avarice could work wonders in this deck...

Ah. Des Lacooda is quite powerful. The drawing advantage over the opponent works wonders. Perhaps I will run 1 of each of Swarm and the Camel, like you stated, to take advantage.

Pot of Avarice (is it pot or jar, not sure lol) would be quite nice in the deck. :D

This deck just made me depressed, you give tomato control a bad name. Ew.
Um... ok im sorry your depressed. :(. <sigh>

I will I willl.... sweet a chance to explain .... I will talk about each card you can use it with in THIS deck... If I leave anything out please let me know........

First off, with 1 Soul Exchange you can only designate 1 monster to tribute that turn. You can however use multiple Soul Exchanges, or use it multiple times by getting it back from the grave with cards like Magician of Faith. SO now that that is clear, I will explain what you can do with each thing in this deck so you can see its versatility in here.

-ok Jinzo and Mobius are tribute summons so obviously you can use it to tribute THEIR MONSTER insted of one of yours.
-Cannon Soldier..... use Soul Exchange and choose one of their monsters. THen activate Cannon Soldiers effect and tribute THEIR monster for that effect.
-Enemy Controller... ok the second effect of this card involves the tribute of one of your monsters to gain control of one of their monsters for a turn. Sort of like a Change of Heart with a cost. If the opponent has 2 or more monsters on the field, you use Soul Exchange and target one of the monsters, and use Enemy Controller's effect... that monster gets tributed, you steal the other and end up attacking their open field.
Metamorphosis .... this is in the side deck.... but you have to tribute one of your monsters to special summon a Fusion monster right.... well why do that when you can Tribute one of your opponents monsters and bring out a Mighty Fusion Monster to pound them with..... What if they have a Cyber End Dragon??? well tribute it to get your own, or steal it with Enemy Controller... your choice...

Well I hope this explained things for you really well... I think it brings an awesome and overlooked dimension to Tomato Control... and for the person that said this is not good control.. I hope you read this so that you can understand how much control this deck really has..... its alot better than it looks...

Well, thats pretty much it. I dont think you missed anything, nice job on showing why this isnt such a bad deck.

Wow, you must get depressed quite often then. Have you talked to your doctor?

hmm....LOL.

Ok anywhos, whats about Drillroid??? I was thinking it could work out in this deck, as a weakness I seem to have are opponents FD monsters.
Perhaps a Cyber Dragon could fit in somewhere. Not quite sure. Anything i should do towards my sidedeck? Personally i think that deck is great. It flows well in play, and works out great. People just think that it sucks because its at 46. Suggestions anyone?

I think Drillroid would be good side deck material... but nothing more... and more Nobleman of Crossout...
I would not main the Drillroid though cuz it would mess up the flow since its earth and all....
You can probably afford to put Nobleman in though.... soyou would be running 2

Maindeck Drillroid IMO will alter your control.. its good Tech , but it would get in the way... did I just say that?? Are there any darks with that effect??

Well i would run 2 Nobleman of Crossout if could, except that i think its limited to 1. ;)

Anyways, yea i see how Drillroid would mess the flow, i will most likely sidedeck it. I dont believe that there are any darks with the effect; at the moment.

After reviewing the deck list, i was thinking that 2x Soul Exchange is good and all, but it limits my chances of attacking (since after activation of SE, you cannot conduct your battle phase.). So it got me thinking to -1 Soul Exchange and +1 Brain Control.

Also what are your guys' thoughts on Dark Jeroid and/or Crass Clown(s) going into the mix? Andi was also feeling Mataza the Zapper and Masked Sorcerer could make an impact. Any thoughts?

DUDE>>> Dark Jeroid ROCKS...
I think that whenever you have 3 Mystic Tomato and some Newdoria, you should also pack some Dark Jeroid... I usually go with 2 Newdoria and 2 Jeroid.... that way you have a choice of which you hurt them with, depending on what you need ya know.... If they kill Tomato and have a monster left to attack... you bring out another tomato, then when that dies you bring out jeroid to drop their Jinzo or whatever down by 800 ATK, making it easy prey for your other monsters....
as you may see in my I WEEL KEEL YOU... deck.... so ya... I like the Jeroid Idea.....

Oh and Brain Control is a good idea... I always forget about not being able to attack after using Soul Exchange... even when I use it... lol....
