This is the first deck I've EVER posted in here! The idea is combing Dark World with hand control. Any ideas appreciated!

I've played Dark World just about every which way, and I can say that I was never pleased with The Cheerful Coffin. Yes, you have options in how much you want to discard, but I found that I either never had enough to make it worthwhile when a Dark World Lightning would have done the same thing and destroyed something for me, or had something like Card Destruction or a set Morphing Jar that would be infinitely better.

As for the deck, I say go for the Brrons. And run Dark World Lightning over Mystic Plasma Zone anyday. Where's Sangan?

Well, I suppose it depends on number of Dark World monsters in deck. Or maybe how the deck is made ... Well, if I will ever try DW I will see :D
 
THis Build and why it's important.

I have a few good reasons for running the deck the way I do.
1. In my local meta if you run DW. You better have more than 2300 Atk on the field or go home.
2. I think that Gren & Kahkki bring a missing element to the OVERALL DW strategies.
3. REIGN - BEAUX IS a good DW monster, but not because of his effect. It's because of his 2500 Atk. That and the FACT that I can use Gateway to DW to special summon him.
4. This is a DW to shut down the Monarch engine that is to say it stops you from Tribute summoning while I use The Cheerful Coffin to Destroy your field then Swarm up on my side.

The Cheerful Coffin was good before, but now with Gren & Kahkki it takes on a kind of supreme 'staple like' importance. At least for those who would seriously run a DW deck and not just a deck with DW splashed in. You really should check it out.

Then you probably haven't played a DW recently. With new cards come both new and improved combos, right? The same applies here. You said there seemed to never be enough DW monsters in hand to run T.C. Coffin, but now there is. I can dump 1 Broww, 1 Gren, & 1 Kahkki now and draw 1 card, destroy 1 S/T, & Destroy one monster BEFORE I even summon and Goldd, or Sillva now. I don't run DW Lightning because of it's 'face-down' condition, besides I have Gren and Kahkki now for that. It's the same thing without the situational part. I spend two cards either way. Maybe more, but I get more too.
Card Destruction helps the opponent more than it helps me, sure, it looks good on the surface, but if you think it through its really just a side deck card. That's why its there. Same for Morphing Jar, but at least I can force my opponent to use it against me which then benefits me the most.
By the by. I did at least add Sangan. My least favorite card of all the fiends.

Deepdark:
While your setup is both cooler and faster I have decided against this build because I don't want a DW Splashed deck. I want a dedicated DW deck. You've stuck to the fiends, just not the ones I want to run.

a dw strat i once ran was swords of concealing + dw lightning
just for kicks, i also ran a mystic 2 and a drillroid. it was great.
i also ran a Great Maju Garzett so i'd conceal a huge monster, dw lightning for goldd, then trib to make him 4600. and, for those special moments where i dw lightning/card destruct/morph jar several monsters, i also had a goblin king. and when all was said and done, a necrofear to ram and steal big monsters.
 
It appears I may have to dig up some extra copies of The Cheerful Coffin. I hadn't really thought about how it would play out with Gren and Khakki now. It's worth a shot at least.
 
1 Cup:
Good ideas, but I have a problem. I don't have ALL the cards that you suggested. I was thinking about running 3 DW Lightning & 3 DW Dealings in game 1. If I either come across another DW deck or realize the opponent is in someway benefitting off of DW Dealings more than I am then in Game 2 I COULD then sub in 2 The Cheerful Coffin & Card Destruction without slowing down my deck much if any. I think I'll use what I do find as a Side Deck for this deck. Any ideas as to how to Shut down Macro w/ DW? Anyone?
I need 2 More DW Lightning/3 DW Dealings first though.
