Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive

I've already seen at least two people in real life use it an 5 decks online that use it...

It's stats are decent granted but... I would rather use the space for something else...

Maybe it's because people want a stall monster that doesn't cause a loss of a card when using it to protect your life points since sinister is gone. In that respect I suppose it is fairly good but still.

Eh, you can't "mimic" the original and best .... Dark Mimic LV1 or LV3...oooh, that was punny indeed 8^D. If they only made a Dark Mimic LV5 or something, then we'd REALLY be rolling. 8^D

I gave it a try, but its not all that great. Mine seemed to constantly get Nobleman'd or I'd Nobleman my opponent's. So yeah, I quite playing it. D. D. Survivor works better in the long run anyways.

Unless it is in a deck that absolutely needs it or is just for a fun deck then I say it is a waste of time that you will not see used in most major player fields. Okay... maybe once or twice but that'd be it. It's just pointless..

Well, I suppose Dekoichi could also be a substitue for the lack of the usual useable Flip Effect Monster in everyone's decks builds. People had gotten to the point of running three Magician of Faiths (something to this day I will never understand) and when they lost both thier usuable Flip Effect Monster and thier Draw power, Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive phsycologicaly seemed like a good replacement.

Again I say that something along those lines is good for a more stall based deck, but for a regular main meta paced deck I just do not see it working. I'd just rather use Reckless Greed over something so trivial as a Des Lacooda.

a friend of mine started to use it long before the list made it more playable.

basically its for that 1 extra card that you hope will be better than what you top decked.

usually he also runs a few other machines and he uses limiter remover to pump them up, thouse he doesnt use Tsukuyomi it would be a good thing to use with i was thinking on actually using the little mimic becuase hes a 1 star and is good with Metamorphosis, same effect in the end, as would be Des Lacooda, but again, the Des Lacooda comes with a horrible draw back.

really one hit so it can live then a snatch and a flip down and its over, now your opponent took control of your draw power.

not to mention the same problem that golemn sentry has.

The old locomotive works well with Magician of Faith and Book of Moon in my Exodia deck; haven't used the little engine that could in any other deck.

i only run dekoichi in my deck when its a 40 card deck, otherwise there would be no point, because you would just draw the next card in your draw phase if that makes sense:redface
