Divine Wrath vs. IFL

Ok say my opponent attacks my Tribe with IFL. In the damage step her effect is activated and I chain Divine Wrath. Ok now IFL is destroryed. Is damage still calculated?

I would say no but it is in the middle of the damage step.


Edit: I accidentally posted this in the wrong forum. Ment to post in in Rules and Regulations if a mod could move it appreciate it.

thats what im thinking.

and in actuality as ive come to understand 1 of the only monsters that has the privilage to attack 2 times in a row is Mataza the zapper.

and that is a contious effect because it states that that specific monster can attack twice, NOt when it kill a monster, not when you discard a card at hand or anything.

so how is BLS-e different?

i understand The element magician, because i guess its constantly searching for the type in order to use the effect like the contious effect of element saurus.

but BLS-e doesnt search for anything.

its just it either removes or attacks, and if it destroys a monster it can attack again during the same battlephase. but if it removes a monster then it can no longer attack.

If you choose to activate the remove effect you could use devine wrath on it. But saying its effect is contious makes BLS-E over powered over Devine wrath. Its LIke saying that CED-E has a continous effect too, were it waits for you to pay 1000lp in order to blow the field up + its self.

BLS-E needs more a clarafications cause alot of us have waited for a card that can level to that of the broken chaos monsters.

Just to throw some coal on the fire...

The first effect of "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning" can be activated during your Main Phase 1 or 2. The second effect can be activated during your Damage Step in your Battle Phase, and can be chained to.

Continuous effects cannot be chained to, therefore the second effect of Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning cannot be a Continuous one, and must be Divine Wrathable.  :wink:

we know devine wrath can activate during the battle phase since its counter trap, so damn if we can kill the bls, then thats great.

the elements either way at the moment dont see to much play.

we will have to wait till the next 2 element com out in order to see if anybody will do the gratefull deed of making a element deck with Homonculus.

If you negte the activation of IFL with a counter, then yes IFL is destroyed, the battle step could not have been replayed, and You opponnent loses life points.
