Divine Wrath vs....spirit reaper or v Lord

Divine Wrath vs Spirit Reaper:

Can Divine Wrath be used against spirit reaper's second effect of causing the opponent to discard from their hand? I assume divine wrath cannot be used against spirit reaper's first effect of not being destroyed in battle.

Divine Wrath vs. Vampire Lord:

I assume you can use Divine Wrath against V Lord's first effect (forcing your opponent to discard a card from his deck.) I also believe that it will come back on my next turn (correct me if I am wrong). How about the second effect when V. Lord returns to the field on my next standby phase. If my opponent activates Divine Wrath this negates the effect and destroys V Lord. Is it correct that he would not come back on my next standby phase?

Sorry but you miss understood. We are not trying to use Divine Wrath on Ha Des. We were just comparing if they have the same negation effect.

Has anyone posted this question yet?

I'm looking at the card text of Dark Ruler Ha Des which reads...

"As long as this card remains face-up on the field, negate the effects of Effect Monsters destroyed by Fiend-Type monsters on your side of the field in battle. This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard."

and the card text on Divine Wrath which reads....

"Discard 1 card from your hand. Negate the activation and the effect of an Effect Monster and destroy the monster."

The two descriptions of the abilities seem to be worded the same when it comes to negation of effects....as we all know though that doesn't necessarily mean that that's how it was intended when it comes to Konami!

But you can activate Divine Wrath on Witch of the Black Forest's Graveyard Trigger Effect.
Bottom Line: my point was that even though Divine Wrath and be chained and will negate these effects (Graveyard Effects), it will NOT "destroy" them while in the Graveyard, or while a card is Removed from Play.

Destroying them while in the Deck or Hand is different. I really dont know where you came up with Soul Release, but maybe you misunderstood me.

To me they seem like complete opposites.

Dark Rules places a marker on the monster after it is destroyed, essentially to be carried with it through to the grave. Even using the wording of "negate the effects" indicates a plural or somewhat longer duration of the effect.

This is not the case with Divine Wrath, which is worded much more inline with basic negation Counter Traps like Magic Jammer or Seven Tools and uses a singular "effect" wording. You negate the resolution of the effect chained to (and of course anything that would result from it), nothing more.
