DreamSprite
When attacked by your opponent's monster, select another 1 of your Monster Cards and designate it as the attack's target, then calculate damage.

Does this mean, when it is chosen as an attack target? SO if it is attacked while face down, I wouldn't get the effect?

When your opponent attacks Dreamsprite it's the intended attack target at first, then you use its effect to switch the attack to another one of your monsters, if available, and that monster is now the attack target. This is true even is Dreamsprite is attacked while face-down.

First ruling for Dreamsprite -
"¢ The effect of "Dreamsprite" is not optional so if you have at least 1 other monster on the field when "Dreamsprite" is attacked, the attack target is changed to your other monster. This is also true if "Dreamsprite" is attacked when face-down.

Even if Dreamsprite is face down, you would still have to flip it face up in order for it's effect to activate. At that point, the effect would redirect the attack to another monster card on your side of the field to then calculate damage. Any effects of the selected monster would also apply as the result of the attack in damage calculation.

Thank you so much, this helps me out a lot. I have to make an attribute only deck for something, and I'm toying with the light attribute.

Thanks again.
