I'm just thinking it's pretty great that we're getting mostly useful and current cards. I was convinced we'd end up with LOB and MRD secrets this time around. What they look like is irrelevant to me :D (As long as they're not Ultimates I couldn't care)

A good deal all around. Makes me consider getting a case of the SEs instead of the standard boxes. It would help to recoup the cost to be able to sell the extras, even if it's only for a couple dollars each. Of course, it will hard to hide THAT box from the wife.
 
Speaking of Ultimates, did you know that Zaborg is the only Monarch that doesn't have an Ultimate Rare form? He's so jipped... Poor guy.

Actually... now that I look at them, they look more like Ultimate/Secret Rareish... The name is Secret Rare, but the pictures are really dark, like an Ultimate Rare. They actually look pretty cool.

zaborg got released in pharoes heratige, which was a combination with Ancient Sanctuary.

and if we all remember AST doesnt have Ultimate rares.

Yeah, tell me about it. Stupid AST, ripping off Zaborg like that... We should ultimatize him sometime. Imagine an Ultimate Rare Zaborg. :D

If the other varient is going to be from RDS... Mystic Swordsman LV6 is the best guess, I think. You know, since all of the other Mystic Swordsmen have been released in SD5, why not make this one easy to get too?

Also, I'm sorta confused by the Secret Rare status as well. As mentioned, all other SEs have been Ultra. Maybe it's just cause I'm not a fan of Secrets. But hey, I'll take what I can get.
 
because they were formaly secrete rare print.

the MC cards, they were ultras, that became secrete print.

its not odd dude, just accept it.


and btw, i wouldnt mind having an ultimate zaborg with his green afro. lol
 
Sigh, why the heck would they release these as reprints already? Well if this is true, time to unload my Creator and Phoenix before the price drops anymore.

So we have 2 from FET and 1 from RDS. Wouldn't it make sense that the 4th is also from RDS? If that were the case, I would suspect SS LV3 or MS LV6 as the 4th. SS LV3 makes more sense to go with LV5.

Also, if we are getting Creator and Phoenix as SE Promos, does that mean that MC3 won't contain them next year?

Well, all the other Special Editions cards were Ultra Rare reprints of Secret Rares, these cards come from sets with no secret rares, so they decided to reprint Ultra rares as Secret Rares, simple.

I'am hoping the last one is MSLV6 or Horus LV6.

dude, think about it Horus Lv 8 as a give away. it would be the best set of SE promos given. beyond Cylinders and Ring, or Vlord, or end of anubis, or Chaos Emperor Dragon which we all hate so much because it was a dead give away.

think about it, all of these are great cards, creator decks will be easier to make, SSLV will be in equivalent with Horus, and Sacred phoenix is just plain awsome.

You could also ask why anybody would want a The Creator, but they still put him in it anyway :p
 
You could ask why the **** would anyone want a purple Kuriboh, couldn't you? But so I'm not spamming, I'll give a slightly different response: I want him because my mechanical swarm deck could benefit from him. Machines + Swarm + Perfect Machine King + UBER ATK!

Anyway I have just traded my 2 phoenix so I am happy.
I have The Creator and 2 SS 5's so meh. But you have to admit that the Secret versiion of them does look Smexy.

And there you go: I think we've pretty much proven that cards which, when taken at face value, appear worthless can still spark plenty of interest...

most assuredly. No matter what the 4th ends up being......Im pretty sure Im going to want it :D. Always nice to have 2 of every card effect when deck testing (except Phoenix, of course:p)
 
Generally speaking, I like to have at least 15 of every card. Well, that's what happens when you have 9 decks...

Except for my Fiend collection, I stop at 3 copies each, though 2 is sufficient. When you build a deck like Creator, it hurts to only have 1 copy and have to protect it tooth and nail.
