eharmony let down

I presume it's the "we can't categorise 25% of people who take the test, so you just wasted your time!" message.

I've done that before, and gotten the same result. Partly it was because I didn't realise you had to complete the entire test at once - I was putting in some temp answers for some of them, planning to change them later.

I told the people this, and they let me have another go. Turns out I'm an incredible average person - I scored in the middle for all of the following categories:
  • Agreeableness (taking care of self or others)
  • Openness (curious or contented)
  • Emotional stability (steady or responsive)
  • Conscientiousness (focused or flexible)
  • Extroversion (outgoing or reserved)
So I get the best of both worlds everywhere.

I was intending to actually use the site, but I'm the type who doesn't particularly like paying for things like this, and I haven't gotten around to browsing my matches anyway.

Well that's rubbish then, a dating website that won't put you on the site only because they can't categorise you!!!

Didn't eHarmony get razzed by another dating site in their commercials a few years back for stuff like this. I remember one of them was a guy looking at at a Penthouse magazine for a few minutes at different angles, then turning to the camera and saying "Nope, still gay."

Agreed, barty. I was a bit miffed when they flunked me the first time. What's worse is that there's no easy way to take the test again - I had to email the people to explain my plight.

What purpose did that Penthouse gay advert serve? How does it advertise a dating website?

this is the message eharmony gave at the end of there personality test.

We're very sorry, but our matching system cannot predict good matches for you. eHarmony's patented matching system was developed after extensive research into marital satisfaction. We use each person's responses to our Relationship Questionnaire to predict the pairings of individuals that are highly likely to result in satisfying long-term relationships, based on what we learned through our research.
Unfortunately, based on responses to our questionnaire, we occasionally find situations where our matching system cannot identify high quality compatible matches, and this has happened in your case. Please understand that it is a result of our matching process and in no way reflects on you as a person or your ability to be in a happy relationship.
We apologise and regret our inability to find good matches for you. The time you spent completing our questionnaire, however, has enabled us to provide you with a free Personality Profile.. This Personality Profile lets you learn more about yourself and should provide you with valuable insights.
We wish you all the best in your search for that special someone.

They were razing the competition for not supporting gay couplings. They had another one for something else they didn't support, but that's the one that stands out to me. I think they were razing eHarmony.

To me this sounds like there being lazy in finding people matches when they don't get answers they expected if thats the case I think its disrespectful to who ever fills out the form.
