Emergency Provisions LOD-033

I figured this card needed a look before the April 1st ban:

Uses:
1) Mirage of Nightmare
2) Magical Scientist (send the monsters taken by TER for no life point loss)
3) Anti-Heavy Storm
4) Free monster by sending a previously actiavted Premature Burial

and more

i give it a 3.75 out of 5, if the sending wasn't a cost, it would be even better

i like Emergency Provisions... its a pretty cool card, most of the time. its not only anti-Heavy Storm, but also anti-MST, and other spell/trap destruction cards. its too bad you cant send it to the grave, but w/e i guess. just make sure you dont want the cards you get rid of... '_';;

Rating:
3/5
Art:
3/5 (its on Assault on G.H.Q as well lol)

This card is seeing a lot of play. In the last Regionals I judged, I saw many players using this to give them a boost to avoid losing when Time Ran out. It a great versatile Card that I would Recommend they try. It combos well with a couple of good cards, like Goblin of good house keeping. I say give it a try, what do you have to lose anyway.

Back in my Chain Energy days, I would deck 2 Emergency Provisions and 2 Giant Trunade. Nowadays, EP is just waiting for me to get some of those Housekeeping cards.

As for Premature, that quickplay status of EP was a lifesaver. Chain to any MST, HFD, etc for 1000 and still keep your monster.

Anyone remember how Toon World and EP used to work? Ahh, those were the days...
*teary-eyed nostalgia*

LOL you have all missed the most important and game breaking combo involving Emergency Provisions. THE reason it was semi limited

Emergency Provisions and good goblin house keeping :D
That's right, you heard me. (Whoa, HOLY &#%$, that's awsome, how come I never thought of that?!)

Good goblin house keeping checks for the amound of good goblin house keepings in the graveyard at resolution, not activation.

If you use 2 Good Goblin Housekeepings in a chain and chain Emergency Provisions to both you just used three cards to draw 6 cards and put 2 on the bottom of your deck. an overall gain of tremendous deck thinning, 1 card, and 2000 life points...

If you use 3 Good Goblin Housekeepings in a chain and chain Emergency Provisions you use 4 cards to draw 12 cards and send 3 to the bottom of your deck. again, incredable deck thinning, FIVE CARD GAIN!!!, and 3000 life points

There you go... the reason is was semi limited! Nice report ExiledForceFreak!

Surely is usefull in other decks as well: burn, discard(not much but helps to last those last moments for the no card draw), some control decks, not all of them.

Emergency Provision has been restricted to 2/deck in the Asia region.

Magical Scientist has gone into the banlist.

Change Of Heart, Fiber Jar and Painful Choice has re-entered the banlist(oh, sorry the Upperdeck has never ban them before)

I think that's what Bigred Blues was referring to when he wrote:
