Enraged Battle Ox
Effect Monster (Beast-Warrior / EARTH / 4 Stars / ATK 1700 / DEF 1000)

As long as this card remains face-up on your side of the field, when Beast, Beast-Warrior and Winged Beast-Type monsters on your side of the field attack with an ATK that is higher than the DEF of your opponent's Defense Position monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points.

As we get ready to leave the jungle, we take a look at one of the best Beast supporters. "Enraged Battle Ox" gives a trample effect for all your Beast-based type monsters (including himself). Plus at 1700, it's enough to hold his own against most non-tribute, non-heavy beatdown monsters (the 1800+). A very solid card in this themed deck that provides that extra strength for you creatures to run wild (hey look... they just have a "Spirit Reaper" in defense position... hehehe).

Enraged Battle Ox is great because hes so flexible. he can be put into a beast deck, a beast-warrior deck, or a winged-beast deck very easily and not clash with theme too much. Harpies can make great use of his effect, as can Behemoth, Manticore, etc. outside of a beast deck... your better off using Spear Dragon. Enraged Battle Ox just doesnt work too well outside of a deck themed with him. however, in the right deck, hes perfect.

I like Engraged Battle-Ox because he isn't forced into switching to defense mode like Spear Dragon. He was very popular with the top 8 decks at the Shonen Jump Championships, and woe to the Scapegoats who get in his way!

However, I prefer Spear Dragon in my decks. I mean, yes goes into DEF, but at least it was 1900 atk, and those extra 200pts can make a difference when attacking an ATK position monster.

Exactly. Even 100 points can make a whole difference in a duel. 100 points is the difference between you losing to Vampire Lord when you only have 2000 life points, and you having one extra turn to draw Tribe-Infecting Virus and attacking your opponent with it for their remaining 1600. or something...
 
Great card by itself, even better if you run a beast deck,

last week i saw a cyber jar go off, and attcking player got 3 berserk gorilla and one enraged, which all ran into a spirit reaper,

but this is a great card, and is essential to a beast deck, and with the new Big Tusked Mammoth, he is in very good company, the mammoth preventing your opponit of the old "hit and run" technique,
