I need some help with a Side Deck. I thought about some anti-cards that negate the effects of Traps.

- Mystical Space Typhoon (to destroy Royal Decree)
- Double Snare
- Double Snare
- Double Snare
- Dust Tornado (chainable to destroy Royal Decree)
- Dust Tornado (chainable to destroy Royal Decree)


Now I need some of your ideas for a side Deck

I've always been a fan of Exodia Decks... Even though most of the people out there say that this way of winning is like cheating... Sour losers :p Overall I think that this deck is well built... I can't really help with it, cuz I don't know the latest cards that have come out... But still it looks like a nice deck :D
 
Hey Duelmaster,

Try dropping one Dark Factory for 1 Backup Soldier. Backup solder can be a smidge "speedier" in getting some of those Exodia pieces from the graveyard at the right time.

K, thanks. Any ideas about what is the weakness of Exodia and what I can put in my Side Deck than?
 
i think your hand is something yould worry about in your deck there are cards that can mess you up for example:say your emissary of afterlife goes to the graveyard then you get one exodia piece from your deck by effect...you have to show your opponent your card
then next turn your opponent activates (dd designator)
then your screwed so i suggest you put in pot of avarice,
cards to bring back from out of play...stall a little
the thing with the solemns is that if you pay half your life points every time then maybe one attack can finish you off..
i curently run an exodia but its based on drawing so its kinda annoying but it works because i put a stall in it...

I think two things threaten an Exodia deck most....lack of draw/search speed and ye 'ol RFP action. If a Kycoo or Soul Release gets played on you, you could be in a world of hurt.

I try to keep a Miracle Dig and a Soul Release of my own side decked to help prevent those measures. From there you can get hte Exodia pieces back into your graveyard for revival. When it was still legal, I saw a really nice tactic of a Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning with a Primal Seed used as a backup just for this case.

As for lack of search/draw speed, consider a Magical Mallet or two. This will give you the "reset" factor with the versatility of not having to dump everything, like with Reload. Sometimes you get some Exodia pieces in the early draw and you don't want that until you have your engine established. The Mallet will help balance that out.

Why aren't you running Pot of Avarice?

And how many times have you decked out with a high draw power 40-card count Exodia deck?
 
My Exodia Deck worry is the new RFP cards (macro cosmos & the Banninshers) as rarely will my pieces see the GY, (I too use draw power). However, if you beef up your Backup / Dark Factory, you could use Magician's Apprentice. Then you would have a great way to get your MoF or an Exodia piece on the field (then to the GY for Dark Factory--requires two). Pot of Avarice wouldn't help as much, unless you dust the Thunder Dragons for some Nimble Momongas. Rather, I would look toward maybe The Shallow Grave, which can be used for both MoF and Emissary. BTW, it would be sooo easy if Emissary was a 1500ATK.
 
A card I've seen used very effectively in an Exodia Deck is Needle Ceiling, it acts as an additional Torrential Tribute. It works especially well if you're playing a bind / Exoida deck and can work against Rfdd.

I haven't tried it yet but I can't help but wonder...since you have room for 3 copies of Jar Of Greed in your deck if 3 copies of Good Goblin Housekeeping wouldn't be more effective?

Good Goblin Housekeeping is currently Semi-Limited. 2 per Deck only. No real reason has ever been given.
 
I think the GoGHEP combo was to be seriously abused if that was the case. It would be worth the time to wait, then draw six cards....tasty 8^D

P.S. Oh, GoGHEP is Good Goblin Housekeeping + Emergency Provisions...
