Can you tribute a face down Gravekeeper card for the effect of Gravekeeper's Cannonholder?

If so, what is the penalty for someone who attempts to tribute a face down monster that is NOT a Gravekeeper?

I would think that since you control both the effect of Gravekeeper's Cannonholder and the face-down Gravekeeper that you would know what the face-down is to satisy the conditions for the effect, unlike the Soul Exchange and Metamorphosis scenario, where the face-down is an unknown.

you can tribute a face-down Gravekeeper for 'Gravekeeper's Cannonholder''s effect, since you'll know what the card is once it hits the graveyard.
