hi..mhm.. can you use the effect of this trap card only against spell cards which designate 1 monster as a target? if yes I suppose it is useless against fissure and other alike cards.. how can you surely differentiate between cards which designate and the ones that dont? ^^ tnx

yes you can only use it on magic that designates monsters suchs as tribute to the doomed and others.it is useless againts fissure because the target has to be correct.equip cards always designates and cards that target one monster in specific desginate.

The general rule of thumb is if you are playing the effect and you are choosing which monster you want the card to affect it targets. If the card is determining the monster or if it affects all monsters (ie Dark Hole/Raigeki) then it does not target. There are a few that seem like they would not target that actually do, and those you just need to know. If you need to find out if a specific card targets a monster then you can check the rulings or ask here.

Also one more thing to note is that the card can only target ONE monster. If a card targets more than one monster you can not use the hand mirror.
