What exactly are your favorite themes of decks to play?
Favorites to use in tournaments?
Favorites in fun duels?
Favorites for casual dueling?
Favorite fun theme to play or experiment with?

Roid Decks? E-Hero decks? D-Hero decks? Monarchs? Mausoleum of the Emperor decks? Dinosaurs? Gravekeepers? Harpies? A Legendary Ocean?

What's you fav? (you may list more than 1, if u please.) ^_^
 
Aliens are certainly a favourite of mine. They've got so much support, and they're soon to be getting even more.

I'm also fond of Dinosaurs, stemming from an extremely good run at a Sneak Preview event in which I got my hands on an Ultimate Tyranno (I placed second overall, and possibly would have won it outright if it hasn't been for a Submarineroid hitting me during extra time).

I like Toons too, it has to be said. I just wish they had more support.

In fact, even though I don't play them, I wish themes like Amazoness and Gravekeepers had a bit more support. You know, the old ones that seem to have been forgotten.

I don't play in tournaments, mainly for lack of finding any near me (poor North of England seems to have nothing going on). I don't even play casually, because there's no one else around who'll play. Mainly I just collect the cards, and sometimes build a few Decks with what I have (which isn't much - couple of Structure Decks and a bunch of old cards, and a few others). Maybe I'll try to get YVD working again (I think it broke at some point), to see if I can duel online again.
 
I have 3 overall faves. dragons d-heros and burn. mainly the burn is simochi burn. I know the dragons arent the best cos i cant get the better dragon cards but i will make it a kick ass deck some day. D-heros are fast and powerful and burn is just oh so much fun.
 
My favotite deck to run would also happen tp be the first deck i had. An aggro ALO deck. I loved the way i could just summon a 2650 card from my hand for free....And if things got rough, summon levia and blow everything up
 
During the BLS-era, since I never had many of the competitive staples back then, I used to enjoy running Chaos Sorcerer along with spellcasters using the Apprentice Magician engine. Used to be funny to see their $50 BLS-EotB being removed by a $0.50 Chaos Sorcerer :)

Nowadays, I love to try out a bunch of themes. For tournament purposes, I like to run different versions of Gadgets, and been doing so since their release. Though with the many counters being maindecked at the moment, and with the vast speed of most decks, they haven't been entirely effective recently. I might switch to something else, but I certainly wouldn't want to just follow the metagame, I'd rather use my own creations. Haven't thought of any ideas yet though, but I'll get there. :)
 
Like Maruno, I love to use Aliens too. I can't wait to see how far they get with their current and upcoming support. ^_^

I also love D-heros. They're so fun to use and they're quite unique as monsters come.

I'm also getting a kick out of the new Volcanic monsters. They're an interesting set of monsters.

I also love D.D./Remove from play cards and Skill Drain/Normal decks.

Eh, I like a lot of deck themes. ^_^
 
i have to say that i'm in love with the Gravekeepers. My reason is that most people are going for what i call 'one hit acquitters(sp?)'. monsters that have high attack, and almost no defense. my assailants love that. not to mention my spear soldier *insert washuu laugh here*. i can't wait to get my hands on a couple of the commandants.

although, i have usually been using my burn deck alot, lately. feeling nostalgic.
 
I would have to go with, Earth deck, Strike Ninja, and Machine/Strike Ninja. (Yes it was a weird combo, but it worked!)

And there is nothing better than seeing your opponent's face fall when you filp Spirtual Earth Art in response to their Snatch Steal/Brain Control.

Strike Ninja is just pure fun to play.
 
For a while I ran Earth Resue Cat/IFL OTKs, but my all time favorite is Earth Drain, with Toon GAF and Jurai Gumo. Next to that it's Dark World with Fairies (and yes, I was using Beckoning Light when Golld was released)
 
i love running my monarch deck do to the fact it controls everything(hand monster s/t)but its played out.i also run a secondary deck comprised of the new crystal beast.i love watching 4-5 crystal beast get summoned and finish off my oppenent(sp?).
