Fhuma question

here again, ppl....

i got this friend who made an awsome "Reasoning-Reversal Quiz-Cyber-Stein-Last Turn-Self-Destruct Button" deck. this guy has only 4 monsters in his deck, and he has even won in the first turn (in the first turn, not even letting the other player get their 6th card!). i got a couple of questions.

1.- first off all, he has 3 Black Pendants and 3 fhuma shurikens in his deck, wich he uses to make the kill with Reversal Quiz. i know that the Fuhma Shuriken's can only be equiped to a monster with "ninja" on its name, but he doesn't have any. what he does is that he sets the shurikens, activates Reversal Quiz, changes the life points, and the, blows everything up, and in this moments that the effect of the shurikens kicks in. the question here is, that if he can set those magics on the field, or he needs a ninja monster?

2.-it would be of help if someone please could explain me how Reversal Quiz work when sending the cards to the graveyard...i know that its a cost, but my friend states that, you firs need to resolve the effect of Reversal Quiz, and, after that, send all cards in hand/field. i argue that, because its a cost, its before the effect of swapping life points...who is right?

The Cost is paid before you activate the effect. Just like you would pay for Wall of Revealing Light before you activate it's effect.

So all cards are gone before you activate the effect of Reversal Quiz.

That means Fuhma Shurikens are sent to the Graveyard, but cannot activate their effect until the resolution of Reversal Quiz, since the Damage is a Chainable event.

The Shurikens dont have to be equipped, only sent from the field. So if they are face-down, that qualifies.

1. Fuhma Shuriken reqiures a Ninja for equipping, not for setting. Thats perfectly legal and rather inventive.

2. Your friend is confused. Costs always take place before the effect is even added to the chain. This is why you cannot chain to costs, but only to the effect they generate and are non-refundable. However, the effects of Black Pendanat and Fuhma Shuriken will not resolve until the chain Rversal Quiz is in resolves, so the Life Point damage will not occur untl after Reversal Quizes resolution. ANytime an effect is triggered mid-chain (and independant of that chain), it must wait for the current existing chain to resolve before its effects can resolve.
