Fiend Comedian
LON-098
Normal Trap Card

Toss a coin and call it. If you call it right, all your opponent's cards in the Graveyard are removed from play immediately. If you call it wrong, send a number of cards equal to the cards in your opponent's Graveyard from your Deck to your Graveyard.

Well, with Painful Choice being banned here on the 1st of April, let's take a look at a card that I think has potential to be it's replacement. First off, it's got essentially 2 effects; both of which I think benefit the user.

Toss a coin, call it right and you eliminate any Special Summoning, Spell Recursion, Sinister Serpent, etc. by your opponent.

Call it wrong, and you thin your deck by the number of cards in your opponent's Graveyard. Sure, you might send away a much needed Spell or Trap (an obvious and major downside to this card), but you're getting monsters in the Graveyard which feeds Chaos, Dark Necrofear (and Fiends in general), recursion, etc.

Obviously you wouldn't want to activate this too late in the game cause you could really hurt yourself, especially if you've been pounding your opponent. And of course being a Trap it's a target for all S/T removal. But I think the good outweighs the bad in this case.

This card isn't for every deck by any means, but Chaos, Fiends, Zombies, Dragons (using Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon), Beasts, etc. can really abuse this guy. Heck, try a couple or Side Deck them and see if it helps.

Reverse World

This card would work great when they finally decide to release Reverse World in English. If you call if right, your opponent loses their graveyard, but even if you call it wrong, it help thin your deck like mention before and great for getting cards into your own graveyard in order to activate Reverse World

Discarding cards off the top of your deck lets you abuse cards such as Puppet Magic of Dark Ruler, especially when you're probably already running this card in some type of a fiend deck.

A great way to use some of those lifepoints you gained off of Soul Absorbtion is to Enemy Controller one of your opponents mosters into attack mode and attack it with a Gren Maju, then activate Bark of Dark Ruler. They'll likely be taking 4000+ damage.

The most obvious choice in my eyes and the deck I've played it in is an Exodia deck. With Sangan coming back once the Head is drawn Fiend Comedian can dump the arms and legs into the graveyard to be retrieved with a couple of card options.

it does not work with Night Assailant. Night Assailant states it must be discarded from your hand.

"When this card is sent directly from your hand to the Graveyard, return 1 Flip Effect Monster from your Graveyard to your hand. "

It says nothing about "discard."

But it doesn't work when sent from the deck, however to get the loop going with Night Assailant, once you draw one you need to get the other out of your deck, Fiend Comedian has a good chance of doing that. Or will send other flip effect monsters for Night Assailant to grab.
