FienDillie-O: The Two Towers

Dillie-O

Council of Heroes
Well, here it is. With the new Dark World monsters, I'm looking to do some potentially devastating hybrids with their swarming ability. I think I've dug too deep here, but I like to try weird things...

In an unprecedented move of fiendish delight, the two fiendish realms of Dark World and Pandemonium have joined forces to unleash a new era in the dominion of Dark Ruler Ha Des.

The special summoning of Terrorking and the Dark Worlders make a lovely opening to use Forced Requisition and Card of Safe Return to keep my hand full and my opponent's bare. I've looked to take advantage of the main assault of the Archfiends, Terrorking and Infernalqueen, with the natural Desrook recursion. I think I may need to modify the spell/trap lineup a smidge to keep things from being too dead handed, but the opening draws are looking good to start. As always, any comments are greatly appreciated.

I'd drop the Dark Ruler Ha Des for Shadowknight Archfiend. Terrorking Archfiend is pretty good with all the other Archfiend monsters. Shadowknight is just to help make him more playable in the deck.

I don't know why, but this deck kinda screams for Draining Shield and Fairy Box. I have no clue why, just seems like it does. Maybe even Mystic Wok as well. You have a ton of life point costs so that's the only reason why I suggest it. Maybe Battle-Scarred would work in this. Also, with all the monsters that are getting dumbed into the Graveyard, I can't see any reason for not having Dark Necrofear in there.

Also Enemy Controllers can be very abused in this deck. With Pot of Avarice being fueled so quickly and Fiends dumping and coming out of the wood works, I'd give a couple of them a shot.

I don't even think Scarr is needed really. I could see Morphing Jar or Cyber Jar fitting into the deck. Maybe even Magician of Faith. Those don't fuel the fiend side, but it does offer some kind of side support for the deck.

All in all, pretty decent deck. 8^)

Thanks TK! I like the potential of Morphing and Cyber. We always like to "corrupt" other cards for our cause. 8^D The morph will help the Dark Worlders and the Cyber will help the Archfiends and Goblin King. I've thought about Battle-Scarred myself, but I wasn't sure which Archfiend tactic to take with it. Ideally, I'd swap over the Battle-Scarred meanie and let my opponent suffer, thus I was thinking about the Roar option to bring out a Skull Archfiend and then do some Terrorking searching after that.

Draining Shield would be a big help in this mix. I always like to keep a Spell and Trap negator handy because it can turn the tide so fast, but this might have to replace the Magic Jammer. Dark Deal seems to cover most of the spell cards I'm worried about, Dark Hole in particular.

I'll have to ponder Necrofear more. I've seen Necrofear mentioned in these decks numerous times, but with the Pot of Avarice and the Dark World special summoners, I'm not sure how much Necrofood I'll actually have available. Then again, the Archfiends may wind up staying down, so that would make some nice work of the Desrooks or something.

Thanks all around TK! The scary thing is that I think I actually have all the cards here listed, so I can build the initial and slowly work your suggestions in on the playtest angle.

Any other suggestions?

guys guys guys... missing one here Swords of Conceling Light + Dark World Thunder= monster removel and summoning :D

Raffle Waffles1!!!!11!!

Good one David, I suppose that could be used. However I think Dillie-O is going for a serious competitive deck build. Not sure of Concealing Light fits the bill there.

I still like that Share the Pain idea. XD I mean, if makes Necrofear get a healthy meal rather quickly if you think about it and provides relative monster removal as well. Chances are, they aren't going to negate it unless they have too. Which probably wouldn't happen too often.

But with cards like Ectoplasmer and stuff like that, it makes the deck have a burn element to it.

Could also try Ceasefire as well. Worth a shot, and maybe Rod of the Mind's Eye with Shadowknight Archfiend. I believe, the Battle Damage would remain 1000. If not, disreguard that suggestion. =P

Dillie-O always coming with some weird stuff out of the wood works....nice work...

Just posting to re-emphasize the importance of one of the jars in that deck.

Dang! Lots to ponder all! Thanks so much! I'll update the deck after some heavy thinking on all of this. I just wanted to make sure all of you knew the feedback is GREATLY appreciated.

Alrighty guys, I've been doing a lot of pondering lately and have had some added Monarch help on this deck and decided to take a slightly different angle with it. There are a few Archfiends that I can take advantage of without worrying about lifepoint payment and Terrorking is so nice it doesn't matter about payment. With that angle, Pandemonium can be dropped and some extra options are available. Here's what I'm thinking.

Deck Name: FienDillie-O: The Two Towers
Count: 40

Monsters: 18

Tribute:
Archfiend of Gilfer x2
Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World x2
Sillva, Warlord of Dark World x2

Non-Tribute:

Card Destruction

Traps:9
Archfiend's Roar x2

Magic Drain
Sakuretsu Armor
Trap Jammer x2

Let me know what you think. I'm still thinking a Jar in here, just not quite sure. Thanks in advance!

I know this may sound odd, and where this is a hybrid and my dark world deck wasn't it may be different, i advise against the necrofear and pot of averist, every time i used them at reginals i would end up regreating it a turn or two later.i got to the point after my 1st duel i would side deck out ha des and necrofears every time.
