Final Countdown

Final Countdown

Group: Spell Card

Type: Spell

Pay 2000 Life Points. After 20 turns have passed after you activate this card (counting the turn you activate this card as the 1st turn), you win the Duel.

I am not sure but I think I am the only person that uses this card. It's a
very helping card, I am 1st in my home tournament just because I use it. The way to use this card is with the all big and bad Thousand-Eyes Restrict with its good friend Scapegoat and metamophases. having them both on the field makes it so easy to stall, along with Gravity Bind and Messenger of Peace.

Well that's just what I think is good for the stall, please tell me what you think and post for me.

DCR-091, btw.

Here's some guy running around who has exactly this "Flag of the European Union after Expansion" :D as it's avatar. Why do I mention that? It's the approach of estimating a card's power by counting the number of people who use it's picture as avatar. Go Mystical Sheep, go!

Ehmm...ok.

As it counts both your and your opponent's turns, it's like approximately 10 of your turns after activation (Pyro Clock of Destiny can be used to give you one turn count for free, thus making Final Countdown end the duel at the end of the End Phase (whoa! sounds weird) of one of YOUR turns, better than giving the opponent one last chance at the 20st turn).

It's just like: draw it too late and it won't safe you. When you know this, at this point of time it'll be a death draw. So how many copies to use?

Funny would be: using Dark Sage (ok, he won't speed the thing up too much , it's just for style, you know?) to get this card to your hand, this "turn count" thing along with Time Wizard (some other "time-related" effect) and a mighty Dark Sage initiating the end of the duel for your opponent...yeah yeah.

Well, more ways to stall:
DNA Surgery + Insect Barrier
Spirit Barrier + Spirit Reaper + Astral Barrier
run 3 of each Trap Hole (Trap Hole, Acid Trap Hole, Bottomless Trap Hole, Adhesion Trap Hole)
3 Waboku
3 Threatening Roar
Swords of Revealing Light
Swords of Concealing Light + Stumbling + Solomon's Lawbook
2 Maurauding Captains, 2 Solar Flare Dragons, 2 Command Knights, etc.
The Unhappy Maiden
Neko Mane King
Zero Gravity
Windstorm of Etaqua

I personally Love this card. This IS my deck type. This is the Deck I run, there is nothing like the look of sheer panic in another players Eyes as the countdown nears its end. How they make stupid moves, or totally lose it.

Mind you...for this card to work you would have to make a deck around it...but the beatiful thing about this deck type is that it can be done SOOOO many ways, there can be as many Differnt Final Countdown Deck types as there are Countries.

2000lp is much when it comes to Lifepoints anymore thanks to Emergency Provisions and Surviving 10 isnt that hard if you have the right deck. This is truely Top Teir Worthy if more people played it at SJC's and Regionals.

Truely one of the best cards out there.A Final Countdown Deck

nice LP burner For Last Turn. Or A Descruction Button Deck. have both. way too funny watching opponents try to figure out ways to get around it. especially since there is soooo much support for stallin n stuff! :)

Don't forget:

Man eater bug, night assailant & old V magician.
With trapholes and Wabokus it can take an opponent
10+ turns to get 1 attack through VS my Countdown Deck.

I also use relinguished just to slow things down further and eliminate even more monsters only problem is them getting a monster on the field long enough for me to take it.

Biggest problem is when you don't get a copy of countdown or somebody negates it, 1 Magic Jammer can really mess with this deck type.

I dueled a Final Countdown/Life Gain/Stall/Deck Destruction deck at regionals. First game was a mess for me when he put his lifepoints way up. The second game I sided stall counter and the last two duels were easy. If I was against a deck using Final Countdown, Waboku, Threatening Roar, etc, I would surely wish I owned a Royal Decree to side deck.

The deck probably can be good in the first duel of a match, but once the opponent knows what you are doing they can probably take it apart like I did.

really but not if the stall guy knows how to side deck

but i did get torn apart by one in a regional but only the first round then i crushed him
