Final Turn

This may seem crazy, but a friend came up with this few hours ago.

(First turn)

Player A: Sets 2 cards , and summons Jowgen the Spiritualist. End turn

Player B: Draw phase (player A activates Wall of Revealing Light, paying 7000 LP); Standby Phase (Player A activates Last turn)

Because of Last Turn, all cards are sent to the graveyard; and since Jowgen is on the field, no monsters can be special summoned. Player A wins.

Is this possible?

Thnx in advance

Jowgen doesnt prevent "Normal Summons" and that is exactly what could happen since the Battle Phase created by Last Turn's effect only takes place in the Standby Phase. Once the effect resolves, play continues as normal with Main Phase 1 and on. If there were any cards sent to the Graveyard that would return to hand, like Sinister Serpent, Player B could resolve Sinister's effect, since its still in the Standby Phase, then Normal Summon it in MP1.

But if there were no Sinister Serpent, let's say, would Player A be the winner?, since Last Turn effects states that The player whose monster remains alone on the field at the End Phase of this turn wins the Duel.

I don't get your point clear at all. Last Turn sends all cards to the graveyard. You got Jowgen on your side of the field, preventing your opponent from special summoning by the effect of Last Turn. How could he Normal Summon a monster? :)

There are other things that can work for and against you as well. If you go to the Netrep site and download the December ARRJ, there's a full article on about everything you need to know about "Last Turn".

That one has to attack your monster, but remember, "Last Turn" just creates an extra battle phase... the turn proceeds normally after that so your opponent may have another shot to bring another monster to the field and attack you for real (and possible cause enough damage to win outright).

So at that end of all the battels if there is one at least one monster on each side of the field it is a draw?

Can you play last turn after they summons a monster on the field?

Player A: Summons Jowgen the Spiritualist.
Player A: Ends turn.
Player b: Draws
Player b: Standby Phase.
Player b: Summons a monster.
Player A: Activates Wall of reveling light and pays # of lps to go below 1000 lp.
Player A: Activivates Last turn.

Would Player A when. Our do you have to activate last turn durning the standby phase.

Burn,
1. If either player has the only monster on the field, then that player wins. ANY other situation (neither player has any monsters or both players have monsters) causes the game to be a draw.

2. Since he/she has already performed his/her normal summon and Jowgen prevents special summons, then yes you would win.

However, most players will know what you have in mind as SOON as Jowgen hits the field and will try to force your hand (Heavy Storm/ MST/ etc) or get rid of Jowgen before they summon a monster.

1nv4d3r,
Believe it or not, although your friend came up with this a few hours ago, this deck has been built many times starting when Last Turn was first released. It is a very powerful deck when built right.

And just to try and clarify the normal summon comments. If you have a monster that allows you to search your deck for a monster (witch/ Sangan) or allows you to pull one from the Graveyard (Night Assailant/ Sinister Serpent), then you can end up with a monster card in your hand after Last Turn Resolves. Then the battle from Last Turn will occur (but with no monster since Jowgen is on the field). After that is done the rest of the turn occurs as normal until the end phase.

Your opponent summons the monster in their hand and attacks your Jowgen during their normal battle phase. Then when the end phase comes around they have a monster and you don't, so they win.
