(SCROLL FURTHER DOWN FOR THE UPDATED DECKLIST, SO PLEASE FOCUS ON THE THAT LIST, THNX )
Hiya everyone, it's been a while since I last posted something here on CoG but I'm back
Anyway, ever since the release of Ancient Prophecy, and having had a look at the spoiler of Stardust Overdrive (the next set to be released), I've been wondering if Fortune Ladies could be used on a competitive level. Now I know that the Fortune Lady-related cards that were released in Ancient Prophecy don't really present much of a threat on a competitive level, but the support they get from Stardust Overdrive does make it worth having a second look at them. Anyway, I've come up with a decklist for Fortune Ladies. It still needs work of course but I'm hoping you guys could help me out in that area . Any contemplations or other thoughts you might have about the deck, feel free to post them!
(Mind you, the deck's follows the new banlist)
Monsters: 18
3x Fortune Lady Light
2x Fortune Lady Fire
2x Fortune Lady Water
2x Fortune Lady Wind
3x Fortune Lady Dark
1x Fortune Lady Earth
1x Solitaire Magical
1x Breaker the Magical Warrior
2x Night's End Sorcerer
1x Sangan
Spells: 13
1x Heavy Storm
2x Terraforming
3x Future Visions
2x Dimensional Fissure
3x Fortune Future
Traps: 9
1x Call of the Haunted
3x Threatening Roar
2x Magician's Circle
3x Compulsory Evacuation Device
Extra Deck:
1x Armory Arm
2x Magicial Android
1x Goyo Guardian
2x Arcanite Magician
1x Black Rose Dragon
2x X-Saber Urbellum
2x Stardust Dragon
1x Thought Ruler Archfiend
2x Colossal Fighter
Now there are a number of things that I would like to see added to this line-up, but as always I haven't the foggiest of what I should drop for them .
1 Because of the imminent restriction of Solemn Judgment, negation cards are harder to find and implement, so I'd like to see this deck have more negation power. I've also thought of Hidden Village of Spellcasters but like I said, I'm having trouble figuring out what to drop for it.
2 This deck has, or at least I think so (do correct me if I'm wrong ), good synergy, but it still needs a solid win condition. Right now, the deck's pretty balanced in the sense that it will be able to get the Fortune Ladies out on the field and benefit from their effects. Also, the usage of Future Visions will make it harder on my opponent to synchro summon (buying me extra time, for instance for getting Fortune Lady Fire out to blow it up), etc.
But other than that it may still need something extra. To that end I included Night's End Sorcerer in the decklist. Since pretty much all of the monsters in my line-up are Spellcasters I figured they'd work well with Magician's Circle, especially Night's End Sorcerer. The level of each Fortune Lady is different and changes every turn they're out on the field, so with a level 2 Spellcaster Tuner, I figured I'd have access to a wide range of Synchro Monsters (and there is of course Night's End own effect as abonus)
3 Speed is a bit of an issue. Fortune Future is a nice card in this deck and will undoubtedly prove its worth but other than that there's not a whole lot of draw power in it. Granted, Fortune Lady Light will come in handy but that's it. Allure of darknes might be an option but I'm not entirely sure if 7 darks would be enough to run Allure. Any thoughts or suggestions?
All in all it's probably far from competitive in a TCG Advanced Format, so any fixes and ratings will be appreciated.
grtz
P.S.: For those of you who haven't seen the spoiler of Stardust Overdrive for the additional Fortune Lady cards, just follow the link below and look'em up ^^
