Frosty is cool.... take a look

kingpinopie

Himoura Shinta
OK.. this is a strange concept, but its definitely something that could prove to kick a bit of butt...... It has the elements of Control, Swarm, Beatstick and maye a bit Aggro ...and whatever else u wanna call it ..(I think)... However, my deckbuilding skill have turned a bit rusty since I havent had a lot of time to build them as of late.... but here goes.. I know the Tribs are a bit heavy but really look at the deck to find out why....

2- Smashing Ground
2- Dust Tornado

Maybe it would be wise to add more normal monsters so your Dust Barrier would have more uses. Giga Gagagigo is nice, it is lvl5 2450 ATK normal monster and if you have A Legendary Ocean on field, you can play him from hand without a tribute.

thats a good Idea.. Ill have to try it out
tis definitely good advice tho, that dust barrier really helps protect my normal beatsticks yaknow.. Ill check it out

take a look at non-spellcasting area if you are running enough normals to warrant it...
another possibility might be Cold Wave...help summon & get off levia dragon's effect...especially if your opponent plays or sides in Solemn Judgement
something like Anti-spell Fragrance might increase damage done by moby & levia....
i know a lot of people think treeborn frog does not belong in a deck using field spells... and i agree - it makes things more complicated - since there will be times hes stuck in the graveyard for long periods...but alo/umi will get whacked alot as well as used for levia dragon.... i think the deck will play better with it...you will be able to do things in standby phase with Enemy Controller and Spiritual Water Art - Aoi and still get back frog so you can use to trib or get off Abyss Soldier...especially if you have a backup alo/umi in your hand...
you do not have much in the way of spell/trap destruction of your opponents monsters.. so you are attacking alot...i'm inclined to say - run 3 mobys and take out a frosty...
and for craps & giggles dump the last frosy for B.E.S. Crystal Core...suprisingly good here..you can use Abyss Soldier's effect to put him back ( when counters are gone) and resummon with alo/umi...his effect of putting opponents monster to def pos once per turn can be brutal...
some things in deck are banned or limited be careful....a few changes are necissary....

edit: a side note - aqua spirit & bes crystal core can wreck decks that rely on cyber phoenix for protection.....

sorry... i was looking at the wrong banned list.... lol.

I stuck Pot of Avarice in its place cuz I have so many DISCARD effects in here, or send to graveyard type effects.... ..

any ideas on how to improve and hone THIS CONCEPT?? to make it run smoother?

ok, I edited my deck... obviously I had some legality issues with some of my cards..... my count is up to 43 cards yet it runs surprisingly smooth.....
First off, I took a bit of advice with the Gogigigo or whatever it is, but I put the bigger brother in.... it works wonders with big wave small wave .... I know I have alot of tributes in here and it still seems ok ...
Treeborn Frog seems to really help out too, as he always seems to be there when I need him....
Between ALO, the Hydroggedons, Mother Grizzly, Big Wave Small Wave , Ancient Rules, etc, its seems to just keep coming and coming ... ive really enjoyed this deck so far... it really just swarms and swarms, then when you least expect it it POUNCES even harder... it needs a bit more to make it smoother running but so far with all of my sp. summoning capability in here, it is far and few between that I get a bad hand..... (enemy controller has been a god send too)....
Bottom line.... it seems to be running pretty decent and getting pretty dominant the more I play with it... but it DOES NEED SOME TUNING UP.... Im goin to take it to tourney tomorrow for fun to see how it runs... any advice between now and then would be helpful...

Crazy suggestion

Hit a deck that had Solomon's Lawbook in it. Could go crazy good with skipping that second standby phase.

Keeps that magic card permanent.

Solomon's Lawbook is a very risky card to add. Although it would keep dust barrier in for one extra turn, its only useful as a one hit wonder and provides absolutely no other use and would slow down the speed of this deck. cuzwbd idea of non-spellcasting area is a good idea!

I would minus out Barrier Statue's add an extra abyss Soilder and warrior of atlantis. OR add perhaps a penguin soilder, perhaps a sub-roid. Although those cards would be unprotected by dust barrier and nonspell area, they provide more use then Barrier Staute and add to speed especially if your trying to beatdown your op's lifepoints fast.

This deck is It's still little prone to bad hands with dust barrier not really providing protection except to a couple of cards and the fair few tributes, but at the same time given a good hand at the start would be really hard to beat.

oh ya... took out rush recklessly and added shrink in its place.. such a handy card... .. this deck is starting to flow much better..... I may get rid of Daedalus tho... its a pain in the butt card to manage in this deck.....
