I just heard a rummer.....sayign you can play as many fusions as u'd like, but i thought you can only have 20 different ones......please tell me what the truth is.

EXCEPT

As of the last Policy Document change on the UDE site, that limit was removed. So there is no restriction on the number of fusions you can have in your deck other than the standard "no more than 3 of any single card".

i didnt know thay changed it... Cool

ok yea on that last question
yes u can
when the monster is destroyed it goes to the graveyard like any other fusion

u can revive them as long as the card allows it and its not returned to your hand or deck
because then it goes back to the fusion deck... so yea

Sorry ChaosEmp, but a Fusion must be properly Fusion Summoned before going to the Graveyard in order to Special Summon it from there (same goes for the removed from play area). Metamophosis does not Fusion Summon, it only Special Summons.

We find that it helps people to understand things better when they are allowed to contribute to the discusion. Kind of like real life. Most people wouldn't like to be told to shut up just because they were mistaken in real life. We think it should apply to the CoG community as well. I mean, the best way to learn is to be an active participant. But if your afraid you'll be flamed or scolded for being wrong, then how will you ever learn from your mistakes?

no because Dragon's Mirror requires a said type to be removed from the game not a substitue, the substitutes have their own specific type.

No it doesn't, it says the Fusion monster has to be a dragon type monster, it doesn't have any type restrictions on the cards being removed.

However you shouldn't be able to use fusion substitutes because you need: "fusion materials that are listed on a Dragon-type fusion "¦"
Meaning you actually need the cards written on the fusion monster.

Of course sometimes card texts are unnecessarily wordy, and can't be taken completely literal, perhaps the "Are listed" is just there to make the sentence sound "cooler"

As I understand it, Fusion Substitues by their nature overide the effect that requires a specific Monster Card.

Then again, I've been told that in Cyber End Dragon's case, when he says he can only be summoned by using the above Fusion Materials, that he's not kidding.

Dragon's Mirror

Remove from play, from your side of the field or your Graveyard, Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a Dragon-Type Fusion Monster Card, and Special Summon that Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon).

So no you can't use substitutes since they are not listed on the Fusion Monster Card.

"A Fusion Summon of this card can only be conducted with the above Fusion Material Monsters." Means no substitutions, you find it on a couple of the more powerful Fusion Effect monsters. And Cyber-End can be Special Summoned through other means, but to Fusion Summon him you must use the listed Cyber Dragons.

From the way Dragon's Mirror appears to operate (it is treated as a fusion summon) you should be able to use a fusion substitute monster. Polymerization also states: "Send Fusion Material Monsters that are listed by a Fusion Monster Card from your hand or your side of the field to the Graveyard, and Special Summon the Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck." So the "that are listed" isn't conclusive evidence. If they are going to require the "listed" monsters for Dragon's Mirror I can understand that it is Konami's call, but thus far I don't think anybody can say one way or the other without an official ruling.
