Future Fusion

So Here is the situation, I was dueling my brother who was running a Chimera OTK deck. About 4 turns into the duel, he used Future Fusion for Chimera fonder, then he used Overload for the kill.... Now, He only has one Chimera. So... came he bring out the Chimera the he selected with future fusion? or does he have to have another?

i would say the sanme one would work bcuz it hasnt been summoned yet

Overload can and does summon the Chimeratech targeted with Future Fusion. It is a legitimate play.

"Future Fusion" does not target anything. You merely tell your opponent which Fusion Monster you are 'planning' on bringing out with it's effect.

Right. Like other fusion cards, everything it does happens upon the resolution of that card (and the resolution of its other effect two turns later). You can't select anything during resolution.

I know it says "select" a few times, but Future Fusion doesn't properly select it. It merely records the card name for future reference (since it can Summon a monster "with the same name"). It's not the same thing.
