Gatling Dragon: a targeting effect?

Is it's effect targeting? I don't believe is targeting, but how do I choose the monsters? Do I toss the coin 3 times and only after can I choose all the monsters?

I'm not sure my english is completely correct...

THE FOLLOWING IS INCORRECT AND ONLY LEFT IN SO LATER POSTS MAKE SENSE:

In spite of the order on the text, you actually choose the target before you flip coins. It is targeting.

u sure? let's say u target an opp's monster at activation and then at resolution u got 2 heads .... then u must destroy 2 monsters on the field and let's say u have 2 monsters, gatling and gemini.... so u pick gemini at resolution ... that's not target ... or is target just for your opponent?

maybe i'm confused but i always thought that when u choose monsters at resolution it's not considered "targeting".

I think u are extrapolating the rule for blowback dragon that says its a targetting effect but i think this case is completely different ... if i'm wrong please let me know ...

Are you sure you're talking about the right card? I know this applies with "Barrel Dragon" and "Blowback Dragon", but does the same really apply to "Gatling Dragon"?

"Barrel Dragon" + "Blowback Dragon"
Toss a coin 3 times. Destroy a number of monsters on the field equal to the number of Heads. This effect can only be used once per turn, during your Main Phase.

Since you don't even know the number of monsters that can be destroyed, are you sure it is targetting?

You're right. I saw Gatling and read Blowback.
Gatling Dragon is non-targeting because it is not determined how many monsters until after the effect resolves. Since it is unknown how many monsters will be destroyed, it is not possible to determine if a particular monster will be destroyed by the effect of Gatling Dragon until after it resolves.

Yes, it's non-targeting because the number of monsters that are destroyed is determined by the Coin Flip.

The Coin Flip occurs during resolution, so you would "choose" the monsters to be destroyed during resolution, making the effect non-targeted.
