Since Gearfried the Iron Knight says to destroy equip cards attached to him would Fusion Sword Murasame Blade be destoryed even though it's effect says it can't?

I just wish they would remove other rulings that obviously can't be correct. It is puzzling that this one got yanked prior to confirmation with Konami when so often we've been told that they can't remove a known erroneous ruling because they have not received confirmation from Konami.

Vampire Lord vs. Royal Oppression for example.
How much you want to bet it was one that they already got confirmation on and supposed to be removed, they just overlooked it? Then when we pointed it out they pulled it, having already had instructions to do so before. I mean, I've been through their rulings documentation rather thoroughly. I may not remember every ruling by heart, but I can tell when documentation has been thoroughly proofread or not. There is no evidence that they even keep Spell Check on.

I wouldn't doubt it DJ but see how it is played up as "proactive" on their part that they "took it off the site until they could get further information from Konami". Come on guys. You leave things on the site for years that are obviously not congruent with the other "official rulings" claiming you have no control over it you have to do what Konami says. Then once in a while they jump on a card ruling and make these grand statements about how they have it together and until Konami gets things straight they are laying down the law of how things should operate. Right! I need a monkey cannon. Where is Jason with the monkey cannon?

While I understand the frustration here, it almost seems like these poor fellows are cursed if they do/cursed if they don't. They are placed in a very untenable position, here. They have to do something and it seems as though een Japan hasn't figured it out. Then add the translation issues. It's almost like it doesn't matter what they do it runs the risk of being wrong. ***Curtis: "Flip a coin, guys, should we support the ruling that doesn't make sense and wait for Kanomi, or remove it in hopes that Kanomi will support our decision? Either way, we'll get flamed." Dan: "I call heads...." Curtis: "For which?" Dan: "Does it really matter?"

UDE, at least the Yu-Gi-Oh! side, is in a position where their nothing more then a go-between. What irritates us, is the flip-flopping on statements of what they can and cannot do. It's one thing to claim that there's nothing you can do about a ruling because that's up to Konami, but still make changes to things of their own volition. Their not damned if they do and damned if they don't. There damned when they lie to us, misrepresent facts and just do things in all about insidious fashion. There's absolutely no reason that their position as a go-between should make them so untrustworthy in our eyes. If their hands were as truly tied as they claim they are, then only Konami would look like the bad guy. As it stands, we see too much on their end that they are cleary accountable for.
