he's not really using it for the effect he's using it with Call of the Mummy. as for the deck changes i would say take out the Patrician of Darkness and add a Vampire Lord. for the traps i would take out the Ultimate Offering and Magic Drain unless ur running 2 of either of them also i think u need a third Book of Life
 
I ran a zombie deck for a couple of months with 3 Book of Lifes, and they did work OK for a while, but they are dead draws if there aren't any monsters in the opponents graveyard or if you don't draw any zombies. 2 is normally enough.

You might want to have 2 Soul Absorbing Bone Towers. They can cause a field lock down and their effect is quite nasty overall.

Might add Sword of Concealing light, The Shallow Graves and Monster Reincarnation. The second two are good for bringing back Spirit Reapers since it doesn't truely target them on the field. Shallow Grave brings cards back face down defense and reincarnation brings the monster back to you hand. Card Destruction works well in a Zombie deck. It allows you to use your spell cards more efficiently, ie. Premature Burial, The Shallow Grave, Book of Life.

i use Morphing Jar because i usually need to refill my hand because this deck uses cards pretty fast. I know despairs effect but this card is not in here for him if it was it would be too situational with my one despair.

Karma Cut is a totally different story i tested it and since just about no one runs zombies i can get rid of Cyber Dragons or other threats for usually the game since they cant premature or call there monster back.
