Getting around loyalty

None that I know of. Loyalty is basically something that is used to limit certain abilities to only 1 team affiliation. Some effects would just be so broken if allowed to be used in all decks. However, the only real way to possibly get around in certain decks is to team up with that affiliation just to play that character with loyalty.

But beyond that, there really is no loop hole for it.

Clone Saga/Sinister Six is one way around Loyalty (as your characters all have the same affiliation). An effect that would put a character into play (such as Dual Nature or Dr. Light) rather than recruiting them would also get around Loyalty (although with those cards, they need to be of a particular affiliation anyways . . .

Along this line, what do you guys think of some of the new "Double Loyalty" chars, like the new 5 drop Blade? Has Loyalty, but also has to have an Underworld on the field to be recruited..... That would make him double loyalty correct? You would actually need a MK & UW to even get this guy out. If so, he's not all that he appears to be.

Actually Blade (and Electra and Deathwatch) are exceptionally strong for their drops. Blade gives every one of your MK and UW characters the ability to attack up the curve (or defend up it, depending on the situation). +2 ATK per character is not something to sneeze at especially if a team attack is involved.

The Double Loyalty is the only stopgap to the cards, meaning you need to work for it. (incidentally, Blade (and Elektra) are easy enough to get out given Midnight Sons)

Interesting, UDE is pretty much forcing you to use a team-up in this set. And I used to think that team-ups sucked. (Well, at least when I played them.)
