I just need a clarification. These cards change to defence position at the end of the battle phase where they ahve attacked. They cannot be changed back to attack positon until the end of the your next turn.

Some players are reading this is per 'Little Winguard' that is they are trying to say they can make a manual battle position change in the end phase of their next turn after attacking.

My reading of this is that the monster stays in defence for two of your opponents turns - that is you cannot make a manual battle position change until your next main phase after your next turn.

I know this is basic, but humour me I have a bad cough.

The monster text is easily misunderstood. Your assumption is correct. The monsters battle position may not be manually changed until the end phase of your next turn....we know you can't make a manual battle position change except for in Main phases. Your opponent could, however, take control of your said monster after your turn and manually change it to attack position. This was the intent.

Turn 1: Player A does whatever...
Turn 2: Player B Summons Goblin Attack Force and attacks.
Turn 3: If player A takes control of GAF it's position cannot be changed manually
Turn 4: Player B cannot manually change the position of GAF
Turn 5: If player A takes control of GAF player A can change its battle position.
Turn 6: Player B can change GAF battle position.

Just Noticed...

Just noticed that Giant Orc has different text to the other three. LeiLei, GAF and GEAF all have the same text, Giant Orc says ...

Giant Orc
Effect Monster (Fiend / DARK / 4 Stars / ATK 2200 / DEF 0)

If this card attacks, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of the Battle Phase. You cannot change this battle position until the end of your next turn.

Would this text imply that my opponent could still change the position on the turn following me using Giant Orc to attack?

"You" always refers to the current controller of the card. So when your opponent has control of Giant Orc, your opponent is now the "You" in the card text. (But your still means you, or rathe the original you, not the opponent that's now you.. :drugged: )
