Yeah, I noticed that when I first saw the thread myself, in the end there was still some discussion going on about the deck and ways to combat it so I figured you guys could look past the million posts (exaggerating yeah, but geez it's a lot) flames and pick out the few helpful ones.

you can also keep burning through their deck with the harley quins and so forth. :D


I would have to play against a GLEE deck because it seems like something far worse than a 4 drop doom and a Latverian Embasy.
Well, if they know you know they just fetched a construct and are holding it, they would most likely try to play it before Pan gets his breakthrough...still a good way to check out what they have coming...but if they've got the mit, then no breakthrough...:(
I would also think that burning through their deck manhunter style might actually help them, if luck is against you and you're sending characters and not plot twists to the KO.
I'm trying to figure out a good mix with New Gods, just to get Source-in'. And Darkseid, to get all Anti-Life-y. And Anti-matter, so that I can Anti-GL swarm.
So...
Anti-GL, Soldiers of New Genesis, and Parademons...all 1 drops ;)
 
I actually removed "The Source" from my build the second anyone sees a "Soldier of New genesis", they stop playing plot twists from the resource row.

I'm going to bang away a couple more rounds of testing tonight after work, and see what tech I can come up with.
 
this is kinda tricky.

its good to have a goal to try and get to.

but man, all i can think of as of right now would be hand control/ deck control.

Don't know where my mind was. Pan searches the Deck, not the Hand. uh duh.
 
yea trying to remove the remainders of the arsenal could be good. Im no PC or PCQ player but if thats whats gonna hit hard, why not a full on prenegation type deck?
 
Last night was a good night for blue abuse! I was able to beat GLEE 4-0 last night. The Phantom Zone is GOD! They activate DR. Light you chain and remove thier target character.... Completely stopped the engine. Then you out run them with Soldiers and if they try to Curve drop Superman Blue and stun thier big drop.... If they try to go off curve start dropping Superman Reds and Cir-el boosted to get counters back on the characters that lost them.

If they do manage to get a huge attack against you, it happens, use escape artist to save yourself the damage and the character from getting stunned, if you can reinforce.
 
Ever think about Boom Tube to help with that reinforcement problem then? Sounds like you did pretty good, hope Indy turns out great for you.
 
The basic theme is to use the 5 drop Superman Blue's ability to stun all the big guys on the opponents side of the field. I teamed up with New Gods so that I can use Soldier of New Genisis which is a 1 drop army with cosmic, so that I can flood the field with weenies and make superman's ability big enough to stun atleast a 6 drop.
 
I have to say, I will be surprised to see a GLEE deck win PC Indy...it's a solid and consistent deck, but it doesn't have the sheer dominance of Curve or Titans. Also, the top players/teams have been testing against it and picking apart its weaknesses for too long for it to still be a factor. I think a lot of New Gods will see play for The Source, and a DC Modern version of Phantom Phone Booth may come out from Hager and his guys and knock the beatdown decks on their arse. Even burn has a chance with New Gods and Anti-Matter together. Someday I'll get around to posting a decklist for my Manhunters/Emperor Joker mill deck, I'd love to have a working version of that to take to Indy :D
 
dude, i made a Manhunters/ EJ Mill deck. and my sister did manage to deck me out on turn 8, she had to sacrafice her whole field, but what good did it do since there was no joker in sight. i think the fastest way of doing is is through 1-4 to keep making them lose cards the slow way while keeping a bit of field precence, mostly using hidden characters with "The fall of Oa" then defending with cards like Boom Tube.

then on turn 5 keep doing the same but start using the Man hunter that make them lose cards by cost. Keep defending and have the team up on Turn 4 with hush so that joker can come out easily on turn 8. use 7 drop two face to stall a bit, and keep reducing the deck.

its a bit hard, but if there is a way to make it rush then it can be very good. :D

im also working on my Modern X-Statix Deck, i just ordered 4x Kang-Kross Roads and 3x Mutant of the year. i might update my X-statix deck right now to see what exactly to take out. :D
