Why do VS cards have some nice jokes and funny stuff on them? Do they think that people will like those cards more? Well tey would be right. i love the funny ones i seen. My favourite funny one so ar is.....

Tradition really. It's standard pracitce for cards to have Flavor Text, but Yu-Gi-Oh!'s cards are so small, they can only fit them on Normal Monsters. Have you seen the non-shiney version of SheHulk? She says "wouldn't I look better as a foil?" I think her foil version says "See?" or something like that.

My favorite is still the poem on the versions Deep Six. And of course Thunder and Lightning. ;)

The foil version has the same text, I have it in front of me :)

Still some nice stuff going on there. Pity there arent some of the more random kinda things like magic has. I think one card there had something about poking your opponent while reciting a rhyme or something and if ya do ya can shake his hand or some such nonsense.

Well, that was in a nonsense series :p (Unglued or Unhinged, they are both full of those kind of jokes).

In Yu-Gi-Oh! there is a card in which you can offer your opponent your hand and if they accept it, you both get half of the total life points (so if you have 3,000 and the opponent 11,000 you both get 7,000). I believe it is called Judgment of the Pharaoh and you see Yami Yugi on it dressed as a pharaoh.
 
I believe every set has 2 cards where there's a difference between the foil and non-foil version; Cosmic Spider-Man, Parallax, Bizzarro, Plastic Man, etc...

Other "funny" flavor text include all the Doom robots talking in binary.

Those card makers are funny people...
 
Don't forget the easter eggs that are hidden on some card images. Some are more visual than others. For instance the code on Funky Big Rat's Code spells out "Kergillian" the name of Vs. System journalist and founder of the first online Vs. community. There is also Sewer System that has "Kergy Was Here" on the Sewer Cover.

Then you have the 6-drop Injustice Gang Lex Luthor that is a close of Lex's face with some building plans in the background. On the plans it says "Seck Industries" obviously a reference to UDE R&D's Ben Seck. Then there's "D. Mandel" on the tombstone in the Hump picture, reference to Danny Mandel (another R&D guy). There's always at least one fun easter egg like those in every Vs. System set.

The Doom Sentry Bot's in order by drop actually have "We All Obey Doom" written in binary with each word on a separate Bot. Let's see... the She-Hulk thing is right btw folks, the foil does say something different than the original that aludes to being foil or not.

I'm still waiting for the Juggernaut card that says "I'm the Juggernaut, *****!" I wouldn't put it past R&D to decide to include it in the upcoming Heralds of Galactus set just to do it... and if not then, then maybe in a future Marvel set.
 
Funny, I wonder if my misprint is the normal version in Europe (could be because of the printing machine), or that there are only a few of it in Europe.
 
Reservist Captain Marvel does not come into play with a cosmic counter. Discard a JSA character card, say "Shazam!" >>> Put a cosmic counter on Captain Marvel. Cosmic: Captain Marvel gets +13 ATK / +13 DEF and has flight.
